From my limited experience, i find the hares in the west of Ireland in small fields full of barbed wire, sheep wire, crazy gates, forrestry ect , a hard hare to kill with saluki saturated lurchers. I think a 1/4 saluki, or not more than half, seems better. However, their is the odd exception, as regards saluki saturated lurchers, some do learn to adapt i think and catch well, but, unless the saluki used is a fast type, forget it. I have never coursed in the east of Ireland, places like Kildare, louth, carlow ect, only coursed in meath and the hares their seem good, but the fields are a lot big
