    the last few seasons, i have started ferreting late october, due to so many young ones about. at one time i started in september. anyone else found this? i stop in february now as well, as they seem to start breeding early as well, use to stop on march?

    Dont listen to rubbish from people who dont keep them ! There are many different lines and they cant all be lumped together.Some are as bidable and trainable as any other type of lurcher ,you need to get a pup out of that kind of stuff cheers. first decent answer. anyone else who has had them for a long time and knows them real well. says it all for me............. listen pal, don't know what your at? but can you stay out of this, cheers.

    Is raising a saluki cross coursing pup hard. do they go deaf when you try training them to come back to you? if any coursing folk out their could share their experiences pre ban on how its like bringing them on, are they hard work and when eventually they are coursing do they come back each time or is it a case of trying to catch them? thanks.

    plenty hares about, if ye know where to look, but not easy to find sometimes. was in carlow last month seen a good few in a field next to a main road early in the morning they were boxing. dont know nothing about comps, all ways hunted mainly alone, or with trusted friends.

    SPEEDIE IS CORRECT WITH THE BREEDING OF THE LITTLE WHIPPETY BITCH.FOR HER SIZE SHE IS THE BEST SMALL LURCHER I HAVE EVER SEEN BEHIND A HARE, AND RARELY MISSES!! TO LOOK AT SHE IS NOTHING SPECIAL, BUT IN THE FIELD SHE IS CLASS FOR THE WAY SHE IS BRED. thanks very much Paddy, that is exactly what i heard. just wanted to find out if it was the truth and it seems it is.

    very interesting thanks lads. this wee bitch is meant to even catch hares in rushy fields, she jumps over them to see, great strike, stamina and drive!! would love to see it one day, i dont live too far from him either.

    were is speedy when you need him he use breed rough coated type dogs with irish terrier in them he always said there was no saluki in them at all very few beleaved him but have seen some good dogs that he bred i heard he was running a little whipit x it must have saluki in it if its any good thats what a few lads have started running over here for the big rabs whippit grey saluki thanks. we are getting somewhere. anyone else?

    Its meant to be a small bitch and does well from what i hear, not bigger then about 21'' Someone on here that knows him, would be able to say more on the matter prehaps. ? I dont want to cause any arguments, just want to know more about this amazing wee bitch.

    I use Red Mills racer most of the time and find it good. Along with rabbits and beef hearts ect once a week. They have changed the formula, its far better now, as i did use it years ago but it was not good then.
