Still doesn't change the fact that a load of no account twats throwing nazi salutes is a load of Balls and an insult to British and commonwealth troops from WW2, but I suspect you think it was ok cos after all Hitler made the trains run on time! Sadly Mush we do !Not to the same scale I grant you.So called refugees who pay thousands to Indonesian people smugglers to get washed up on our shores so that our dopey govt. feel obligated to take them in, whilst the really deserving simply die. The fault lies in our own backyards, with the damn fool volvo marxists, still thats democracy for you!

Used to be a hunting site this...some of this reads like an EDL or whatever site.I don't understand the correlation with English pride and the Nazi salute,a salute that was along with the swastika the trademark of an evil regime that thousands of British and Commonwealth servicemen died trying to stop. I agree with Tomo et al. We could bring back Vimmy? Well maybe not go that far......

The frill neck in the pic is from Arnhem land right at the top of Aussie, tribal lands. This variety gets quite large (this one about three foot) there are a number of sub species, the one commonly depicted being the variety found in the central desert. Goannas dependant on species are regionaly threatened as much through habitat loss as anything. Though a fox will take the smaller ones. The sand goanna in the pic is from a site I do rabbit work on, obviously no gassing etc as they would be killed so its trad methods only. They cohabit with the rabbits in the warrens. They eat a few of the ki

True. We were stalking something else for the pot when junior came rushing over for a look and Mum turned up to chivvy him away. Sadly I am not much of a photographer and armed only with a pocket digital that was the best I managed.

rabbits get in the strangest places

Team says there is one there, are they telling tails? No cos there was a tail to tell -
Hi there fellow expat, welcome to THL. What part of Aust are you in? I am in SA. I am a full time pester (vertebrates only) There are plenty of good calls on the market both bellows type (scotch etc) and the various "tin whistle" types. Not to mention the new electronic jobs. Personally I like to "ring the changes" when fox calling,as in some areas where a lot of whistling is done the fox becomes somewhat immune (or just legs it) to the trilling of the more common calls. Enjoy your time on here

Had them out of hollow trees above head height and in all sorts of weird and wonderful spots, they have had literally billions of $ thrown at their control and yet they persist. The Rabbit...hats off to the ultimate survivor -
What sort of muppet are you ...go read some comics and stop posting sh1te because everythime you do you look a biigger idiot Spot on, like that was ever legal in the first place... Exactly so. This thread needs moving to both the terrier and running dog areas so everyone gets the message.

Well done Ian. Since coming back on here I am frankly staggered by some of the ridiculous and frankly moronic, ill concieved posts put up by some. Nobody agrees with the ban, we would all like to see it overturned but flaunting illegal behaviour is just daft, do people seriously think that the antis don't monitor these forums For gods sake they quote some of the numpty comments posted on hunting sites in their own sites/propoganda, and they do know names, and publish them, so hiding behind an Avatar and pseudonym means nothing If folk think they are "sticking it up them" posting about

Nothing wrong with taking a Pup of that age out Ferreting as long as you use some COMMON SENSE. My ACD cross was taken out Ferreting at that age.....our Ferreting sessions were kept short and sweet. He learnt from a Young age to ' Honour ' the Longnets etc.... an Adult Lurcher hitting the Longnet full bore does the Dog and Net no good at all. As long as the sessions are short and sweet.....put up and extra bit of grub and take your Young Scholar out..... he/she will LEARN NOTHING stuck at home Too true, well said Caterpiller.(common sense.. ahh would that it were common) Nice to see s

Lovely looking dogs there Magpie. How do you find the 5/8 Beardie 3/8 greyhound ? A friend of mine has a litter sister to stabs dog and we are looking at using a Tasmanian Smithfield dog over her. As a point of interest these Tassie smithfields are not a Stumpy tailed cattle dog, the dog that is usually refered to as a Smithfield in Oz. These Tassie smithfields are essentially a working beardie type from, as the name suggests Tasmania, they have super feet and wrists, are quiet, quick learners who have an "off switch" and are very versatile WORKING herders. I for one do not believe

"Funny little ways" oh yes quite so, they really are... well...different. Takes possesive to a different level. Not to mention the depressive bouts etc. I have had some rather "moving" experiences with ACDs out here to say the least. They are in some ways the best of dogs and the bloody worst.

Very enjoyable and well written, pleasure to see the English language used so well. No BS "Chavver speak" and it gud see Youse can spull proper and gramur and them punctuations things innit. If your pics of the fly tippers are half as incrimnating as that of your mate "the Sussex hedgerow flasher" then they are in big trouble. Motorhead!(I am surprised they are still alive!)Actually you could be on a winner with the fragrence, unless Moto fans have changed a lot, a subtle blend of sweat, rabbit gut, ferret pong and dash of ditch mud should be a real "puller" with the um...er...well

TOMO: NZ recently had a change of law re ferrets, and yes there are ways around it, same as everything, but it could be tricky rolling up at a DOC (Dept of Conservation)job with a box full of "Verboeten Invasive animals" with which to take care of,... another species of same LOL. All a bit silly really.
