  2. Totally understand what your saying, I was just wondering the route into it and its looking like a bit of a poor choice to make

  5. How would someone go about becoming a pest controller? I know theres quite a few guys on here that do it, But ive never seen one advertised in the job centre or anywhere like that. Do you have to have qualifications in Hygiene and the likes? Or do you just set up, sign write a van and get to work? Im curious thats all
  6. This is going to sound 100% Noob but is the gun laid on top of the rabbits the same gun you took them with? If so what is it? (looks beautiful) I know naff all about air rifles and was told a decent one would be as good as me applying for a 22lr (I shoot shotguns hence the total lack of knowledge of airguns) But thats hard proof to me that air rifles work well! is it .177 aswell?
  7. Can't you say he wrote it in a letter to be opened upon death? Failing that, say you searched for them with his partner and found them in so and so location.
  8. Trouble is the little shit and all his mates will just gang up and do the fat lad in. Sad but true.
  9. Thanks for that! Makes sense, otherwise people could just write in saying it was 'destroyed' and have it off ticket.
  10. I noticed on the certificate it says "notify police of theft, lending, sale or disposal of a shotgun" or something along those lines. My question is how would you go about "disposing" of a gun? Do you have to have certificates to show it's been disposed of? Or do you have to take it to the police and let them do it? I don't need to get rid of one, I just wondered the process.
  11. Diddnt ricochet and hit a dogger did it?? lol
  12. Has it been glued back together
  13. I have done, but its mainly weekends now, midweeks nice a quiet so you get to stretch your legs and try a few disciplines without having to wait too long!
  14. Well thats food for thought! I diddnt realise you could kill a rabbit at 50 yards with an off the shelf air rifle! Ill look into that option first! Failing that I would like a 22lr
  15. ^^ There you go, Two votes for Cockett haha
  16. Yeah I figured .243 would be a big ask Theres only one or two foxes anyway and theyre not doing any damage, infact theyre probably helping matters if anything! The son does own both plots so I guess I could put them both in as one! Ill try to get in touch with my FEO, He was a cracking guy anyway, he said to me in the SGC interview "When you want to get your FAC....which you will....I guarantee it!, Just get in touch" haha
  17. Theres a couple thaT I know of, Theres cockett farm where I shoot, very cheap and friendly place thats in farnsfield about 10 mile away. Then theres Stile Hollow which ive heard is a nice place to shoot, although ive never been, thats about 5 mile from Clumber park (just rough distances on routeplanners)
  18. I agree that plot 2 is just too small, It literally is just a big garden. Plot 1 was my main question, I think that would be the one if any that might get accepted The land slopes down from top to bottom, so the top of the field would be the top of the hill and gradually slopes from that. Noise wouldnt be an issue because all the houses around there, are all owned by folks 70+ and most weekends their's a shotgun cracking off somewhere around there (think its the farmer from the farm to the left of plot 1) Id be looking at shooting on weekend daytime only (mainly saturday)
  19. Ive just had a quick flick through youtube and it looks like .17hmr will do both rabbit and fox, so would that be a better choice?
  20. I think assault is pretty serious, especially with it only being 2 years ago. But someone will put you right, alot of people on here with good knowledge in this matter
  21. Good evening everyone, Theres an old lady near me, she has a problem with rabbits ruining her "allotment" as it was, she plants vegetables etc and no sooner are they planted theyre ripped up and thrown across her garden. She owns this property (1) and she also owns the field to the side (all highlighted in the boundries of property 1) which has stables etc on it, Also her son lives next door in property 2, his is more of a massive garden than a field, but also has the same problem with rabbits. Im a very close family friend to these guys and they've asked me to sort the rabbits with my
  22. Yeah you'll get it, they don't interview your parents only you! No one else is allowed access to that safe, so if your depressive dad gets hold of that gun it's on your head
