I atended the fair on saturday I enjoyed the day immensly, but I must say the angling section was very poor this year. The absence of some of the usual traders was noticable, maybe it is due to the high costs of trade stands at the show a lot of work will have to be done to rectify this for future years if the show is to continue to be succesful. -

Are bull crosses prone to skin dissorders, my 18 month bitch has a skin problem she is losing her hair it started around her thighs and under her belly she has some red blotches on her skin where she lost the hair, the vet reckons its in her breeding but I have a full sister to her and there is no problem with her. Iv'e changed her food to a low protein in the hope this will make a difference. If any one had similar problems with this I would be gratefull for any infomation on how you sorted the problem.

Its the same story up and down the country all of our rivers are being fleeced by gangs of poachers the fishery board bailifs can only watch a small percentage of the waters and now that the season is over the poachers have a free run.

The salmon fishing season has come to an end on most irish rivers and by all acounts it is one to forget. The dry summer months and low water levels didnt help the run of salmon particulary the rivers Suir and Nore, the usual big run of fish that these rivers are accustomed to just didnt materelise. We heard of large numbers of salmon gathering in the estuary waiting to make their journey up river but all we got was odd fish here and there. Still some fiseries were reporting great fishing with large catches week after week when other beats were strugling. All we can hope for now is a big flo

What do you all think of the new Irish government? will the coalition work together well enough to sort out the mess the last lot left behind or will it be another disaster? Will enda stand up to the chalanges that lie ahead or will he falter? will the labour party be able control things? It will be interesting to see what way will the independents perform and which side they take. I suppose only time will tell.
