  1. I didnt catch any so i couldnt, left some of her normal ferret food out with a box. Going back later today to shoot some rabbits so will leave one out then. thanks mat
  2. Hi all, Out ferreting yesterday and my sandy jill went to ground and didnt come out. She was wearing a locator collar but i couldnt get a mark on her anywhere. Ferreting box left out for her if she reapeares. This was in Middleton, near King's Lynn. If anyone hears anything let me know please, it wasnt more than 100 yards from houses so she may have wandered off during the night. thanks Mat

  5. Shame i've got no room left in the freezer or i'd have had them all off you, do not think mum would be too impressed if i chucked her food out of the freezer to fill it up with dead rabbits
  6. Im only just down the road, but not an experience ferreter, but if you get someone who needs a hand them im more than willing to help out. Have all the gear + 3 of last years kits who could do with seeing some work. PM if i can be of any assistance. thanks mat
  7. Mine are on ferret food ( biscuit stuff ) and whatever meat i can get my hands on, they usually get biscuit in the morning and meat in the evening.
  8. Hi all, Im thinking about adding a German wirehaired pointer to the kennels. I'd be using it for retrieving, flushing from cover and marking when out ferreting. Whats everyones opinion on them? From what i've read there a nice alround dog. atb mat

  10. I attatched an old ice cream tub ( one of them short ones expenwsive ice cream comes in ) to the wire of my cage so they cant knock it over, easier to fill that up and just pull the ice out and refill every day.
  11. Cheers everyone. Is there any difference in usefulness between the ones from sheet netting and spun poly/nylon or is it just preference? I shall be looking to order some in the next few days. Cheers mat
  12. Just checked on mine, seen as its warmed up here they've dragged 2 of the blankets out of their nest box and are tucked up in just the coat. Still nice and warm in the box though, they deffinatly know how warm they want to be
  13. Mine just have a pile of blankets and old coats in their nest box, keeps them nice and toasty
  14. There was one in Wisbech, people fed the rabbits everyday, then sod misrable old sod put a rabbit with mixy on there, not a bunny left now
  15. HI all Im going to be looking for some good quality nets at the beginning of January for when i start working my ferrets. Just wondering who does good quality ones that will last? thanks mat
  16. I'm willing to go further away if anyone can offer the experience and accomidation, this would only be in school holidays ( February, May, June, August and October ). More than willing to travel anywhere in the country to work for free just for the experience.
  17. Hi all, I am 16 and looking to do some beating or game keeping work experience on weekends and school holidays as im looking at a career in game keeping in a couple of years. I am based in King's Lynn but willing to travel within reason ( i've only got a push bike ) I have sent a few messages out to local shoots via the guns on pegs website but anyone who can put me in touch with keepers who may be able to help would be grately appreciated. thanks mat
