  1. Normally a few days between my outings(dont want to upset the wife to much.lol) so minimum 2 nights in between spraying wd40 and next shot..can be up to a week or so. ive never sprayed it and then shot the next morning/same night with it though. so like you say, by then all i have is the light protective film inside, nothing really to burn or make it smoke.
  2. dont get a shift in zero after cleaning it. and i spray wd40 in it after every night out..dont want a rusty T8!! dot find any problem with an explosive from and back end as you put it either essential to maintain all you rguns though..they'll last you years then!
  3. shwmae blacksheep! how do foxbasher! Dyfed powys are a bunch of numties when it comes to thing like that..think ive spoken to that woman before..not very helpful..even when one of the farms i was asking about was already on my licence for .22! she even told me i couldnt have a open licence as i wasnt a pest controller...!? i just laughed at her and said id speak to someone else. Open licence for the .223 next..may have to pick your brain foxbasher!
  4. have a t8 on my titan 3 .223. dont see the trouble with just taking it off the rifle when your cleaning it down after a night out, nice bit of spray the wd40 after using a mop inside to stop it from rusting. leave it off when gun stored and just grease the thread now and again. only prob i find with it is its quite heavy..could do with a lighter one!lol!
  5. thanks for all the other decent replies by the way..
  6. The reason we are allowed a FAC is because we are supposed to be judged a responsable person (DID YOU KNOW YOU HIT IT NO,DID YOU KNOW IT WAS WOUNDED NO,DID YOU KILL IT DONT KNOW,WAS IT SUFFERINg DONT CARE ,DID YOU GO LOOK UM MAYBE,)Hardly the actions of a responsable FAC holder (PRAT) nice guy eh..! glad the site isnt full of people like you, right put off! pretentious questions like those could be asked of anyone when shooting, obviously not to you though. For the record i do respect my quarry and dont like anything i shoot to suffer. However i dont feel i have to answer to s
  7. condition? working order? any games?
  8. update... farmer phoned me this morning to tell me he'd found the runner in a field under where id shot him..his jack had taken interest in something in a ditch. Surprised he'd gone that far but will know in future not to take the same shot again, either head or bolier room from now on! reason for neck shot was that i could only see the neck and the top of his head. hindsight is a marvellous thing and i guess i'll put it down to experience. having a name like stalker, i doubt you've ever missed or had any runners etc. thanks for the input prat.
  9. Went out last night after mr charlie. Had a few lamp shy ones to deal with so felt lucky with last nights weather being suitable. Lamped 3 fields before I came across number one! He was sat on top of the hedge(his usual trick)just watching my every step. Walked back behind the hedge and gave a little squeak. Didnt take much before he came down into the field and presented himself nicely for a chest shot with a decent backstop. 1 down, 1 to go..! About 3/4 hour later (and a few bunnies to the .22..) got the second one in the lamp. Red fliter on, keeping him in just enough light. Walked with the
  10. sold one the other day in .20 and couldnt get any interest over £400..gun, scope, slip and pellets!! they are a very good airgun but nobody wants to pay for them! ATB
  11. ill throw a different one in the mix..RWS TITAN 3..knocks the foxes clean out to 150yrds(furthest shot so far) cheaper than the tikka etc but uses parts from the likes of sauer for the action. not many about but well made and great if your budget wont stretch that far!
  12. foxes..as many as i can manage before lamp dies. Rabbits, enough to fill freezer/meet requirements from family etc. but normally stop at 15 max.. takes too long to clean many more! anything else like pigeons/starlings etc as pest control..until the wife phones to remind me that i said id be home 3 hours ago! :wallbash:
  13. great write up! looks like a good laugh had by all and some pretty good practice to set you up for the rats! :gunsmilie:
  14. is it me or are half the bunnies shot still looking like they've only just been 'clipped'...?! ive shot a fair few bunnies with cz452 using win x subsonics and i can honestly count on one hand how many have jumped about and kicked that much after being hit in the head!!! most just drop on the spot and dont move anymore! reckon either his subs arent as soft as they should be and going straight through the head./.you actually see one early on in slow mo that ricochets off to the right! .....PIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG..............
