  2. Hi all i would be interested in day or evening rabbiting or foxing with my .22 . as the farm i shoot has a massive absence of bunnies since me and the farmers grandson have done a particularly good job of keeping the numbers down last season . if anyone is after ashooting partner for a night or two i am available . i live in co.durham and willing to travel upto an hour or so. Heres to hoping ..
  3. Them beddy/whips are sound as you like . hard as nails when hunting good noses and game as they come. just put a wor john line dog on my beddy/whips back to see what comes of the pups ..hope they are as good as my dog has been the last five years.
  4. Hi fellas,id add to the thread also by saying id provide the dam (bed x whippet x gry-)shes a short (Blue)smooth haired,2 year old and id love to cross her back to beddy lines to bring out some smashing ferreting/rabbiting pups....all but 2 off her litter came out beddy type broken haired workers just she and her one sister came out very smooth and blue like a beefed up keener version of those "Laguna Whippets"--shes good on all ground and is fantastic with both fur or feather and will take more than is asked of her during the day...wont work her nights as shes too bloody fast and would smash
  5. give all the nonsense a miss !! buy or borrow an electric collar let your dog off the lead and recall him if he chases the sheep when he fails to return give a blast from the collar and see how quick it comes back it wont take long for the dog to come as soon as its called ,, not everyone likes the collars but they are really effective
  6. true words my house backs onto the place and i used to put summat up day or night almost every day then this year it has been wiped out by terrorist's called teenagers who are to young to drive , Allthough that doesnt always stop em !!!!! ( to many kids with lurchers over there these days)

  8. Hi guys genuine lad looking for a bit more rabbiting land near the swinton estate north yorks, i have been shooting and lamping with my small lurcher down there for a good few years now and im hoping i can make my boundrys a little larger with some fresh ground to walk, firearms licence etc can be shown on request and a reference from the farmer i shoot for . I am from the north east so but travel is not an issue as more land to walk in the area i already shoot is an added bonus for a good long night of sport .. hope someone has summat for me. cheers phil

  19. first cross beddy/whippet all the way ... if you after a bit of size from this type of cross get a pup from beddy sire and good size whippet dam , if you go the other way with a beddy dam sometimes the pups are on the small side , dont let that put you off though if thats whats available they will do anything you ask of them
  20. they are both good all rounders and if they are kept outside all year round there coats will come to cope with the cold weather so i wouldnt worry about it ,, i have a rough coat first cross beddy whippet and my mate has her brother fromsame litter he is smooth coat and they both cope with the weather just fine unless its well below freezing then your just asking for them to shake like a smack head going cold turkey
