lets have some pictures of your air guns
darren watson replied to ozzieowl's topic in General Airgun Discussion
this is my Falcon PF18 MP with Leapers 4-16x50 scope, Hogan silencer and 3 point tactical sling from Tel Aviv. -
a lot of people on here have the twink MK2 silencers, and zini has done a cracking video review/comparison of it. they're available from A&M custom gunsmiths.

iv got a falcon, not the lighthunter but a PF18 MP with the profile stock, its my first pre-charge rifle and i absolutely love it, i wouldn't swap it for any other rifle (yet!) i have got the full falcon price list but just not with me. is it the multi or single shot? try these guys, iv had some very sound advice and tips off some people on here=http://falconowners.myfastforum.org/index.php

wow your hot gun nice to x Hi mate, does the eyepiece section of your leapers scope droop downwards slightly?
-
Sorry, Si, i wasn't trying to be clever, i'v just not worded my post very well i was just trying to make the point that maybe a harder pellet wouldnt "switch the lights off instantly"

aaaaah, one of my first ever post on here was questioning why pigeons sometimes flew off a bit after i'd shot them and Si got back to me straight away saying something along the lines of "if you hit it in the kill zone, it will die". (i'm not knocking Si's advice by the way) The amount of times i checked and re-checked my zero soon outnumbered the shots at quarry on every trip out and still some times i had a bit of a walk to find a pigeon that had managed to flap away from the tree we were staking out. I had my gun back to the shop thinking it was under powered an the lot. After weeks of doub

im surprised your still in the house!

id just like to add, my mate lives in a nice area and has been shooting locally for many years. recently someone took to shooting cats round there so now every time the plod see my mate with his rifle they give him hassle, they've even been and searched his house for other firearms/weapons. my point is that if you go out and kill someone's pet, AND even get away with it, the cloud of suspicion will fall over EVERYONE in a community, creating the potential for animosity towards ANYONE who keeps chickens/pigeons/dogs etc, farmers, hunters and the like, and with cops seemingly itching to make ar

hmmm, do you know if they do plast-kote in camo colours, greens and browns etc? looks v. nice by the way -
my mate bought himself one of those cheap crow calls, i was laughing my ass off at him cos he sounded naff all like crow using it, telling him he's in the wrong place for the party cos it just sounded like one of them annoying party blower things It did take some practice (and a bit of "friendly criticism") to get it sounding like a crow and to get them responding, but the maggies just couldn't leave it alone, even when he sounded crap! we got ourselves inside a holly bush cos they're nice dense cover and had the maggies landing very close and sometimes IN the bush we were in. this is the only

unlucky mate how old were rifle out of interest? i tell you summat, the weekend my rifle was in for work was the longest weekend ever! hope you get sorted out pal.
-
make sure you physically watch your dealer chrono your rifle if you take it in. i never did as the chrono was in a back room, the guy TOLD me it was pushing out 8 ft/lbs so i gave him 30 quid to "bring it back up to power". i will never know if it was ACTUALLY under-powered or not.

this thread epitomises everything that's wrong with society these days. our lasses dads gonna give us some chickens for our allotment when its ready, if they get killed by cats it'll be our own stupid fault for not making it cat-proof, why should i grab the rifle and cause a load of unnecessary grief by killing them when there's clearly a more mature and responsible way of resolving the situation? what if old man whats-his-face's racing pigeons from the plot next door start eating our seeds? should i kill them as well? what if his goats eat a bit of our hedge away, shall i kill them? shall i k

best gun for me
darren watson replied to deadlyshot's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
my mate got rid of his smk 19 to get a webley stingray for 100 quid (mates rates, mind) and its quality piece of kit, i bet you could pick one up for a ton fifty. A word of warning though, the smk's very light and manoeverable isn't it? i wouldn't bother getting a rifle with an underlever cocking method cos of the extra weight on the front end, which'll be supported by your weaker arm. the difference in weight can come as quite a shock and really affect your accuracy after a few hours shooting. To me the ONLY way to choose a rifle is to get your hands on as many as possible before you buy. -
In fact, you should've been on the new years honours list for services to airgunning, i reckon!
-
is there nothing you don't know about ballistics!?. thanks a lot for yet more indispensable nuggets of info SPA. I'll be printing those out straight away!

I suppose it would be different though if you got stopped compared to me, because i'm under-aged to "walk" with a gun, and presuming your older than 18 your legal :/ Makes you think what the country's coming too Trev too right, when did a 16 year old last go on a killing spree!

true, true. if mine got confiscated it'd be a very long time before i could replace it.
