My bitch is 19 months now and she is so loyal, she just wants to please everyone. she has great speed, strength, agility, intelligence and stamina. i couldn't ask for a better dog tbh. here's a picture of her when i first got her (her first christmas) and her racing (her now.)

  8. is there abit of deerhound in there? go im clueless lol
  9. depends on your dog. i would say leave it abit longer but if you belive your dog has a chance on it then have a go. dont do this too offten tho as missing runs can dishearten a dog and make them give up. just my oppinion YIS Chloe
  10. surely it depends on the dog. only got one lurcher but my dad has had them all this life and he talks alot of sence. if your all as good at reading your dogs as you say you will know when they are ready to work. in my very little exsperience if you work a dog too young they will become frustrated and give up or pick and choose the rabbits they re gunna run and not run all that you put your beam on. this is just my oppion and im not claiming it to be fact. like i say, every dog is different. 11. Well done mate a nice bag their.
  12. hey everyone so my lurcher is fifteen months now and is coming on great, she has caught about 18 rabbits so far this season. she is great at assesing long runs and not over shooting short runs or sitters. she is really looking down the beam and understanding not to run down the middle on the longer runs. she is doing well at understanding rabbits and is cutting off ones that are near to dikes, roads and hedges. just asking your oppinion on my dog and pics up of your pups or collie crosses please. thanks Chloe (picture to follow as got a new laptop with no pictures on yet)
  13. thanks everyone. shes not very good at retriving them and tends to hunt up the rest of the field before i get her back, so think about getting her retreiving better before taking her out again, dad said she wont forget what shes already done.. anyone have any advise?
