  1. Use a trapline or talpex trap 100% garanteed never had one gone off without a mole in it, but saying that completely green with envy at people cathing on the barrel traps as all i use to catch with them was mud.. I use trapline which you put in the run hole either side and are great for three way tunnels too... But obviously if your catching well with the barrel trap keep going with them as there cheaper and a favroute with all GOOD mole catchers and obviously a favroute for a reason..
  2. Just wondered if anyone could give me some advice on bunnies... I have a box of talunex at work which i purchased for moles a while back which i dont use as i trap them instead. Wondered how effective gasing the burrows out with the pellets? Quite impressed with the cages nod has been using might purchase a few give them a try. These rabbits are making a right mess of are bunkers i need to do something about them..
  3. Quality traps I have quite a few now, great for certian situations like when you come across a threeway run or when the run is near patios or fence lines etc.. As long as you bed the jaws of the traps in properly there pretty much a dead cert catch..
  4. Really.............. I can assure you i never paid VAT on it.. Maybe i was lucky, where are you getting the information from because i think your talking shite, i think the VAT must be added on but i guarantee that the price on the traps plus the delivery will be how much you pay, i know i have done it and it is cheaper.. As far as I remember , I have replied to these post's in a polite manner giving factual answer's. Why do you then insult me with your last post? Every time I have purchased something from USA, VAT has been added to the invoice value of the good's by UK custom's then p

  6. No hawkeye you pay the price and the carriage... i know i have bought a load what you going on about VAT for.. 12 traps will work out about £60.00 so go and buy some.... You cannot nuy 12 trapline traps for £60.00 in UK unless you know someone who is buying in bulk..
  7. If you buy them off Steve there alot cheaper its the Vat that sends the price through the roof... Rat bait.co uk / 6 traps = £54.74 Steve EBAY / 6 traps = £33.77 includeing delivery.. All these prices are including VAT.. Massive difference buying from the UK you get f*****g ripped off..
  8. Go on ebay and buy them directly from Steve, you will like them there excellent traps great for tight spaces near patio's etc and good for when you find a three way run..
  9. Hey keep out of my manner.. I want him off my patch Theres enough moles round here to share out thats for sure...
  10. There exactly the same. The talpa were made just to make it easier to set them up. I prefare the talpex simply because there not on display as much and are abit easier to hide than the talpex, golfers are a pain in the arse and remove traps and chuck them.. Always buy traps from decent companys to many shitey made traps on the market. Bought some trapline traps recently and there brilliant , easy to set, easy to catch and havent let me down yet.
  11. Use a talpa trap they wont push soil into them for too long..
  12. think about it,?? the length of the trap dont matter,, its the distance between between trigger and hoop that matters !! but yes two inches smaller and a bit narrower be good Do you fine tune the barrel trap by bending the triggers towards the killing hoops? i do f**k all.. im a bricklayer who only lays bricks I dont really give a f**k anyway, i dont use them... there we are then,,end of topic mate. Great this forum eh... A forum dedicated to people who dont want to talk about............................................... youn talk shit mate full stop Really

  15. Definately give the Talpa trap a go, i use to have fails with them scissor traps all the time so i stopped useing them, I find the Talpas work great dig trap out as usual, put a mud ball in the middle under the trigger pin, backfill with soil, job done. Mole comes alone does what it does best and digs, mole nearly every time. The springs are excellent in the traps, i would use Magnum traps there good quality.

  17. Are you using Talpa mole traps they seem to do the job for me, pretty much a catch everytime.
  18. l.o.l no i agree but they might like WD40, maybe them long hairs on the end of its sneb help as a sensory guide as its going down the tunnel.... Look im no expert Moley but it hasnt stopped me from catching them.
  19. i dont have any traps now, but when i did have a few traps i did no maintenace at all. i just used them Yeah i have quite a few nicked or taken out by dogwalkers etc, so i do give the older ones abit of TLC as they seem to be better than the new shiney ones.
  20. When doing maintenance to my traps i usually use a wire brush to give them a good clean up, spray with WD 40 round the springs and were the metal touch's. Just wondered if anyone else does similar maintenance as someone told me that you shouldnt spray WD40 as the moles will smell it, but this hasnt been the case i have pretty much set the traps the day i have done the maintenance to them and caught with them the next day i have checked them. Im pretty sure moles havent got the sense of smell people think they have as i wouldnt be catching them but wondered if anyone else has any information
  21. Cheers Phil much appreciated will look out for link....... No joy at domestic job today but got 4 moles on the golf course, think i have disturbed the area too much, am going over with a pack of talunex tomorrow so i shall have the last laugh, but that mole still mugged me off never have had to have anymore than two visits for a private job now i have resorted to chemical ali............ Went back to the job and caught the mole on the talpa saved me laceing it with talunex and the owners seemed happy, seems like i was making a mountain out of a mole hill. That bugger made me earn my mon
