  1. ABSOLUTE BULL S**T. FROM THE BREEDING SIDE OF WHAT YOUR SAYING. IVE SEEN THE BEST OF TERRIERS GET SICKENED BY ITS QUARRY AND COME AWAY AFTER A FEW HOURS OF DIGGING, THERES LIMITS, WHEN THE QUARRY CHARGES AND CHARGES NON STOP, AND IT NOWS IT CAN BEAT A TERRIER, WHICH HAPPENS WHEN THERES BIN A FEW FAILED DIGS ON IT. I WOULDENT CALL THEM SECOND RATE WORKERS IDE CALL THEM A GOOD WORKER THATS ACCOUNTED FOR ITS SELF. YOU CANT BREED FROM A OVER HARD DEAD DOG. JUST MY OPINION. Looking with a Gamedog mind at it, I have to agree with that last centence from Daniele Santoni. But saying this, I am lea

  4. On what did that dog quith? Porcupine accidently?
  5. I know that you see this as a innocent show, but nevertheless a show. And even here you will get people who will value their first place as a ticket to breed. You do not controll all people who will attend your showring. As said I do not mind these days as they can be fun(and meet people), but I mind people who got placed with their PRETTY dog and value because of this their NON worker above a seasoned veteran. And offcourse all the idiots who stand in line for a stud of one of those dogs. But I will also be their probably with the family to have a look Greetings, Frank70
  6. Here in the Netherlands it is forbidden to sell by Vets. It is too toxic they say, not sure or it is still available for farmers use, as it was mainly used for cattle. The working ingredient is AMITRAZ! So look if you can not find TakTic for something what contains AMITRAZ. Amitraz is at least for Demodex the best out there. Good luck with your search. Frank70
  7. Not taking a dig at you Saskia, but saying that, you will help or even judge at a show in April?! Think the problem is that people take show too serious. It can be a good day to meet people and have some fun that day, but the worth of a dog can only be determined by judging his true working abillity. At a show the only thing that can be judged is the construction of a dog nothingg more nothing less. So with a workingdogshow is nothing wrong in my opinion as long as people see it in the right perspective. See it as a nice day out other than a true evaluation of your dog as being a true
  8. Would we not be better calling working terriers working types rather than working breeds ? with all the crosses in them how can they be called a breed ? I think that would be better yes, but many may disagree. Some think that a DNA test can be the solution to solve this problem of pedigrees not being true, but I can think of a lot of solutions to beat that tool.
  9. Looking around at the Patterdale game, I see they register Patterdales in the States, and maybe also in other country's?. As I understand they do not register crosbreeds at the moment anymore if I understood right?! Who is kidding who? One thing is for certain, the best workingdogs will probably never be registered. Why? Simply because a lot of people do not care about the paperwork. The dogs must be able to do their job, and that paper is not telling you it can, it can be a indication, but on the end it is still paper. What if somebody thinks he needs a outcross? He will do it no mat
  10. I was just the other week thinking about these sort of things with Earthdogs. Question is, as this is a sport without many spectators, can you point the best ones? Or can you only point the most respected ones? The ones where the owners have the most respect from people and so are most used? We can name here a list of the best breeders, dogs, kennels, but or this is in case the fact we can not really verify. We only can verify that a certain owner is respected and or he has in the eyes of his colegue hunters good or even the best dogs. Where in another case somebody is doing the job on his
  11. gutted for u mate Klote voor je Sas. hou je taai.(free translation, shit for you, be strong) Frank
  12. I bet Ann did tell you that just to be gentle
  13. yea she is mate, just means i wont be entering her into crufts this year People worry bout undershot to early jaw development doesnt finish till later dont worry till shes older An undershot jaw stands for a strong underjaw. So doesn't have to be a problem at all if not too big. Shit no Crufts, think you really lost a lot of sleep because of it?
  14. Were you from got a bitch that I might line if your interested ? Just an observation. See that it is the dogs first season. What if you line your bitch to that dog and it quits in his second season?
  15. Registration is only good for one thing, and that to increase the value of the "merchandise"! As Tearem said, fraud with pedigree dogs is bigger then everybody knows. So it will come down to your believe and trust in the breeder to trust that you bought a well bred dog, isn't this also the case with dogs without a "FCI" pedigee? I also was once a follower of the "purebred" dog, but whats that? And even when we can pinpoint the exact details of when a dog becomes "purebred" what will it do for the breed? Look around and see whats happening. They will end up just breeding "pedigrees" instead
  16. Sir as a student of this technic can I ask you, to verify the claims of several people here, whats your sexual preference? LOL sorry mate, couldn't resist the joke No bad intentions meant. Just blame it on the fact that I am Dutch and have the wrong friends(you know some )
  17. [bANNED TEXT] forget that, don't think their quick enough for that. Have hunted wild boar with Dogo's, but a rabbit or rat is to quick in little spaces and make too fast turns. What weight is your Bullmastiff? Reckon she will be even too heavy built to run for a long time without doing herself a lot of damage, let alone the injuries by very quick and often turns in a blink of an eye. im unsure on her weight, i dont think she'd do damage, shes been trained doing long distance running since she was young. she used to do a few miles a day running and shes on protein and eating tripe et

  19. Never used a tong, but this doesn't seem to need to be messy doesn't it? A tong has a rounding in the grip part what looks to be for grabbing the neck or something? It doesn't have a cutting part on it, so it seems it is not made to be messy. Reallity may be different.
  20. Neil, Just a question, not to be a smart ass. Do you see a difference between a coward and somebody beeing cautious? As I look at it, it is like somebody who is working with windows, you can pick them up with your bare hands, or you can use them smart rubbers they have for it these days. Is that last man a coward or just smart as it will safe him from injury?
  21. Don't know anyone personally in this topic, but this should be everybody's motto!
  22. Yes I beleive They are pure Booth line but bred by my Fathers good friend Mr Todd Fulford of Deadgame Patterdales.(in Sport Jonathan Booth) Below our friends Dogo here in France on a wild boar he also only uses my Fathers Terriers to hunt them up and the Dogos to hold them I have seen some of your Patterdales there(South of France), also a Jack Russel from you isn't it? Last spring I brought them a Patterdale bitch(Mamba)from Ronny Cloot.
