  1. Yes nice and quiet - no of the usual inflamatory comments ........ Oooooh get you !!!!!!!!, going to get you some of those retractable claws for christmas. There are a few threads i was going to put my two penneth on, but have decided to sit on my hands instead, i must be getting old (er).
  2. Back on line at last, only took 6 weeks anyhow, good to be back, see there are some huge numbers of hits being made by newbies, nothing changes, . Any good gossip, pm me (Kay, MC, J,B, Mad Al etc ). Moley, hows the rabbit job going, gone mad down here, Squirrels too, coming out the wood work if you,ll excuse the punn. Anyway good to be back, look forwards to chewing the fat with you all soon. MT.
  3. Bit late now, but thanks guys, just literally got back on line, been hell not having it for the last 6 weeks.
  4. Not strictly a firearm but it the latest addition to my FAC rated guns. Daystate Air ranger .22 running at 30 ft lbs fitted with a MTC viper 4-14x50 and a Weirauch silencer. This is what I bought for sensative jobs like caravan parks etc where even a rimmy with subs is too hot. And this is a group shot of the rest of the bunch. Not the best ever
  5. You are allowed to shoot Canadas now out of season as part of the general open licence, BUT only if you have good reason, ie health and safety, crop damage etc. Regards MT.
  6. Elmer, you say no more lamp shy rabbits, unfortunatly that is not completley the case, they do detect the illuminator and start fidgiting, if they have been heavily lamped before then they usually start to hop homeword once they are spotted, but it does give you an unfair advantage for a while. Regards MT.
  7. You are of course joking, and being a wind up merchant. arent you.
  8. Tis TM had it for me until i clicked on the last image by Dawn B, then it became a hard one to call, they are both very good, Tis TM had the sharp quality and Dawns had the aesthetic quality. Dawn B got my vote, but only by a hairs breadth.
  9. Complete bo====cks, i have genuine Duffus traps here nearly 9 years old and they will still kill quickly, now admittedly i can not say how many days they have been in the ground every year as i run a lot of them, but i think it would be safe to asume they have killed at least two or three hundred moles in that time. The springs themselves give a very good indication when they are due to be retired, they feel suddenly a lot spongier than the rest. Think maybe he is on comission. Regards MT.
  10. Seen it before but still very good, but scarily too close to the truth.
  11. What is the reason you want a semi in preferance to a bolt action ?, I have both and to be honest i am rapidly coming to the conclusion that i may soon part with the semi, it is a fully tricked SYSS special 10/22, i strip and clean it every 50 rounds, but to be fair my cheapy old CZ will out shoot it everytime, and with no stopages ever, no matter what you feed it. Regards MT.
  12. Well it is a hunting site, and a very good one at that, and whats more the owner very reasonably asks that we adhere to just a couple of simple rules, like not posting about illegal activities, it is not rocket science. This forum is open to the public and the powers that be, they do not need us to give them help in finding things to shut hunting in all it,s forms down, they are quite capabale of doing it themselves.
  13. Hardly suprising really ! with all the blatant going on in it. At the top of the page it states "No illegal stuff".
  14. I think I was mixing it up, in my head, with some cellulose based formulation I'd heard of? Or would that indeed be " Eradirat " Probably one and the same ditch, forgot to mention, the stuff is hideously expensive as well.
  15. Eradirat is the same as Eradimouse only in a larger format, they are produced from dessicated maize husk mixed with mollases, the product is supposed to stop rodents capability to take on moisture, thereby killing them by dehydration. When it first came out i gave them both a good trial as it sounded a great alternative if customers wanted it. Unfortunatly the rats and mice were not as taken with the sales hype and chose to eat anything bar this product. Regards MT.
  16. British traditional mole catchers association already started one of these months and months ago, why another one other than to make money ?.
  17. Keep hearing down here about cow boys buying them, over night top pesties according to the farmers, twats i say, cant wait till they get prosecuted. Quick fix merchants with no skills.
  18. Customers who are slow payers, Burglars or thieves of any description, Dole dossers who think they are clever being parasites on the back of the state, Spongers, anyone who cant have the honour to bring up their own urchins and expect the rest of us to pay for them and the useless dross they then also go on to inflict on the rest of society, Immigrants, Car park attendants who think they are god, Yellow pages reps, Yell.com tele sales reps, Part time pesters who go round giving stupid quotes just because they have a full time income already, OH FECK IT, anyone not on the level.
  19. Your welcome mate, keep up the good work.
  20. Cheers Corky, thing is i know how much upset it would cause if you only had a few ferrets and put a lot into them only for some fecker to come along and nick them.
  21. Afew days ago three very tame well cared for working ferrets came into my posession, they were brought down from Taunton area i believe by a couple of blokes in a transit van, after they had their sport they told the land owner that they would not be taking the ferrets home with them so did he know anyone who would want them, if he did not they were going to dump them, long story short i was contacted and took one look at them and took them in. This is a strange tale i know, but anyhow does anyone know of any going missing up that way, if not, they will stay with me and join the mighty hoard,
  22. Tinman, look for my post entitled "when moles strike back"
  23. MJT, Jamie G is talking sense, also you are right about the 29 grn,s runing at 30 ft/lbs, i gave them a trial on one of my jobs, no good, if you can afford to invest in an FAC air rifle and have the work to justify it i say go for it, just dont get drawn into the idea of well if it,s on ticket might as well have 50- ft/lbs, totally defeats the object. Most of my rabbit clearance is done shooting wise with my two rimmys, but as you say there are places this is too risky, because of this i bought an Air Ranger running at 30 ft/lbs, medium weight quality pellets =flat trajectory between 20- 60
  24. Ok everyone settle down, antis reading this stop fiddling with yourselves, the hob is deffinetly NOT a polecat, FPO will put a piccy up later hopefully, she is still out milking so may not be back in time to do it this eve but i do have him on the digi. Went back out to work, when i came back he was a little more subdued, got a bit funny when i moved the cage, this made the young dog bark at him, after this he went very quiet, i have now moved him to a spare hutch. Looking at him i am fairly sure that he is an escapee, hell of a head on him, i know if he has me it will be an A+E job for sure
