  1. Morning all. I have just had two tired looking Fwb sports 127,s completely refurbished, stocks to Nathan and actions to Colin, both elements now back here and looking superb. Now they were both rather boingy and not particularly pleasant to shoot. So I now need to decide what is best to do internally before reassembling. I prefer a slower/softer shot cycle, rather than quick and snappy. One spring is bent so will need to be replaced, both piston and breach seals are going to be replaced, I do need to find the best type of seal for these rifles. The pistons will be polished
  2. Good on ya for sticking it out. This post has made me real hungry, especially as buffalo wings are food of the gods when done right.
  3. I don't have my reading glasses on, but Milky doe by the look of it.
  4. Okay so after looking around it seems Albi or rustler are the two doing what I require, has anyone any experience of both side by side quality wise? Albi I dealt with back in the 90's and supply to all the big players, very little difference in price.
  5. Ah, that's him. Does he sell quick sets too? ?
  6. Evening all, large job on where I think cage traps might come in useful, any recommendations on best supplier, looking at 20-30 to start with. Cheers, J.
  7. Thanks chaps mostly Nelson then or Les neon? Possibly Nelson?
  8. Afternoon all, I foolishly sold all of my quicksets about five years ago due to the way I went about my rabbit contracts, I now find myself with a very large new job where they would definitely be a useful tool due to the nature of the site. So, who these days makes the best, I'm not looking for cheap, I'm looking for knotless good quality coated baskets and quality finished nets and poles. Any help pointing me in the right direction would be really appreciated. Thank you, Jamie.
  9. Nicepix unfortunately no longer visits as he got fed up with the tossers that troll this forum. Same as several others who really know their stuff.
  10. Yep, definitely looks like a tether or suchlike.
  11. Excellent replies, thank you gentlemen. I think I will give it a try. Just got to see what sort of money people want for a starter kit.
  12. Morning all. I've always been mildly interested in home loading but shy away each time because of worry of killing myself :-) So instead I've always bought the best factory ammo possible. However after watching many on line tutorials I think it may be within my capabilities. So, how does it work legally? Am I only allowed to possess the number of bullet heads that I'm allowed to keep on my fac, or is it that you can hold unlimited components, but not exceed your allotted allowance of complete rounds? Will I actually produce better rounds than the premium ready rol
  13. Got back from work today and treated myself to a few more rounds at the target. Three shots in and a magpie startled by the last round lands in a bush not thirty yards from the target....... It won't be doing that again!
  14. Thanks for the input everyone. Picked it up today. Unfortunately they didn't have any 53grn hornandy so I picked up some 40,s and some 50grn Norma. The hornandy were doing clover leaf groups at 100 yds easily. So far happy with my choice.

  16. To be fair I was quite new to the firearms scene back then. Possibly the barrel was shot out, ammo fussy? However before I sold it on it did account for a few foxes, admittedly at only around fifty yards at which the rifle would produce an inch to an inch and a half group.
  17. How do you find the wmr? I had one for a short time, but seriously couldn't get to grips with it accuracy wise. Bought a Brno lr and never looked back.
  18. I seriously enjoy your posts, please keep them coming.
  19. You lot are just spoilt! :-) Joking aside, that's some seriously nice hides.
  20. Most excellent, I have two lurchers here, one would have climbed the tree, the older one would have waited for the squirrel and the dog to fall out of the tree and nabbed the prize.
