[My Deerhound Pup]

Hey all just wanted to know what you think of him. I am a little confused because his litter was the usual colour (black to dark grey). He was one of the biggest in the litter and when i got him and he was a sandy brindle but he is getting lighter which i know is a common trait in deerhounds. The guy i got him off is a family friend so i did not have to pay for him. The guy said he throws this colour every now and then. The parents were fine but the male was very light grey. Once again want to know what you think of him?

Nice looking pup. My uncle has on very similar but he is almost orange and brindle.

 

What breed is he?

As nightwalker said me running him aroud the yard would probably tire him more, then and hour od mabey 3 mins of actual running hard. Thanks nightwalker.

Thanks guys i knew that i should not take him too early but i will only take him once every fortnight for about an hour. An i don't make him go to hard, but he is very keen though.

My deerhound pup is now 5.5 monthes old and i was wondering what is the best age for hunting with him? i have started him on rabbits and he seems to be getting much better every time. Also does anyone have any pics of one around the same age, or pics of one hunting?
