my two. black and white dog passed away this year age 15 he was a great worker and took pretty much everything he hated fox with a passion and plenty in his time single and doubled up with bedlington pushing them from cover . other is my mike brown bitch great little rabbiting dog also not bad with gun -

yeah i can see were your coming from maybe ive been lucky in the whippets ive owned my old dog took his fare share of foxes single handed and never took a lot a of damage . ive never had much trouble with ripped skin and the mike brown bitch i have now flies through cover like a spaniel . saying that i do like the look of the bull x

can a bull whippet do anything a good quality pure whippet cant . im not knocking them but whippets ive had could take fox no problem and they had the speed you would lose from crossing with a bull

I feed muesli mix with a bit of raw mixed in some times tinned food it is pretty high protein but he is out working often and walked a lot so should be ok with it . thanks

my fell terrier keeps getting a bald patch on each side of his body he isn't scratching and it doesn't appear to be sore after about 3 to 4 weeks it clears up good as new . the other dogs hes kennelled with are all ok so it cant be infectious . any ideas

I have same trouble with my whippet bitch tried allsorts found a butchers that sell minced offal and meat that seems to help at a good price

thanks have found a butchers nearby who sells frozen minced offal and she seems to be doin better on it we"ll see if she keeps weight on when i start workin her properly this season

anyone know a good feeding regime for one of my whippets she never seems to put wieght on i have tried her on complete and on raw diet and mixed she is wormed regularly and excercised same as my other dogs but never seems to put muscle or weight on

iv got whippet dog 9 year old whos taken many foxes hed rather hunt fox than rabbit never had any serious injurys i had to pull him out of a sett only last week i just managed to catch him by tail before he got to far in . one of gamest dogs iv seen

im thinking of breeding a litter as a mate wants one to work with his terriers and iv got two whippets that tackle anything and a mate has a nice pit x staff . what sort of hieght wieght do they normally make

Was he doubled up for fox? single handed struggles more when doubled up cant shake them if another dog has hold as well

i keep mine working through summer just seady mooching about a lot easier to keep a dog fit if you have more than one i find road walking alone wont get them fit for short sharpe bursts needed for rabbiting
