cracking looking dog hows he bred ?? He is sniper on sires side and out of good bitch from merle and eve lines, so im told. But to me it dont matter as my black dog years kicked ass wherever he went, he never had good lines. He was just a born hunter.

Yes they can, 28 yrs ago, I had 2 lurchers, bitch was saluki grey with little bit of deerhound collie back in the lines, she was racey looking. My dog was 3 quarter grey quarter saluki. they would take daytime hares, lamp deer and rabbits. Never took fox, but i know they would of. The dog I got now is daytime hare dog, but i like lamping, so ive just taught him the lamp. No probs. He will take anything, not sure if he would take a fox. not my game.

3rd time on lamp on Rabbits, soon got the hang of it. Long slip, almost out the light, but he seen it. Hes looking down the beam now. He's a daytime dog normally, but its getting hard with plod about. Need to keep him fit. Sorry if Ive offended anyone by lamping it but he would of had it daytime anyway.

I used to go to Bulford camp, 1984 onwards, walk for miles all day, sometimes see tanks go past us. but they never said nothing. pure wilderness. plenty of hares.

on one estate where we have had NEED to decimate the hare,the bag ranges from 50-150. a neighbouring estate are holding one this year,the last time we done it was roughly 10yrs ago and killed not far off 400,this year should exceed that.. i thought one of the reasons for outlawing hare coursing was that the brown hare numbers were declining? seems mad you can shoot 400 but not allowed to catch one or two with a coursing dog- 1 reply

there is some bad eggs in poaching, killing sheep is terrible. driving over crops, no wonder your all pissed off, But what about the poor old lurcher man who loves his dog and lamps a few rabbits and bag the odd hare. it wouldnt be fair if he got caught up in the ramming of his car, or shooting off his dog. in my day 25 yrs ago, things like this didnt happen to much. We had respect for the countryside, we used it.

im not sure but the ban from driving is only if you drive the fields. a traffic act law. maybe i am wrong though, does anyone know for sure. also heard they can take and destroy your dogs. They are barbaric bstrds. mad thing is, most magistrates have guns to kill game. deer etc and used to go fox hunting with hounds. crazy country.

I lost my dog last week as well. Lost him at 4pm, got him back next morning. I phoned the local Dog warden at the council. They had a call at 7am saying a dog of the description i gave them was in the back garden of a farm house, 100 yrds from where i parked the car. Went and picked him up and bunged the lady 50 quid. I hope you are as lucky mate. Phone the council, get dog warden number, phone all local farms if in countryside or put photo and Reward on lamp posts and shops around the area. Good luck bud

I done over a 3 year sentence and on release was banned for life, that was 20 yrs ago. I wont bother applying for gun licence coz i know what the answer will be. I'll stick to me strecher.

From what I can find searching the internet, you can be fined up to £5k or 6 mth prison or both, (normal fine seems to be about £500 to £1000)and yes they can sieze your dogs and veichles. You can be banned from driving but possibly that is only if you drive the fields under some traffic act. Not sure on that one.. oh and yes muslims did protest on Rememberence day. I would like to remember today all those who have died in previous wars and the ones of present time. True Heroes. Not sure if they knew in the trenches that they would be giving their lives for the country to end up full of mus
