Hi there , i was wondering if anybody has worked kerry's. I have a bitch that is keen when out in the woods , nose is always down or she will scan the trees for squirrels as well , she hunts for rabbits and has been off after hares a few times and as we pass a copse of woods in one off the fields where we live she goes after the rats there and has started digging like hell to get to them , i stood and watched her one day and she was soon only visable by her tail sticking out the hole and not for leaving until she got something.her nature is good and not dog aggresive at all unlike my old kerr

Braw looking dog there mate

think it was £30 for 5 of them , including postage , they come with the attachable feet or a peg ,feel almost velvety and look really life like , bit bulky for carrying around maybe but i dont mind aslong as they work. Peter

i just got the crow decoys from A1 decoys , they look awesome, trying them out tomorrow. Peter

hey ratty , cheers for the advice mate.i spoke with a guy at work who is a good shot and alround shooter and when i explained what i had done and how i shot he asked me a few questions and recons im trying to aim with the gun and not following through on my shots ,told me a few things to try out. im going to see how i get on and if need be invite him out with me for a few pointers . oh and just ordered 6 crow decoys. im hooked on this sport and i will stick with it until i get it sorted. i am subscribed to fieldsports channel and it has been a big help already.Atb mate. well i got 6 pigeons this weekend but should have been 3 times that more like , more practice required i think . my home made bouncer was crap, i struggled to secure the pigeon to it so gave up ,more tweaking is needed here . im out again next saturady and then clays and a lesson on the monday. just got my new gun ,pick it up mid week. A laurona eibar magnum ,second hand but i really good condition , single trigger and multi choke . i just need to learn how to shoot the bloody thing now. Peter

thanks for the advice guys, i understand what your saying about getting everything at once ,i may try the decoys you suggest, its just frustrating sitting there with the shotgun an nowt to shoot at, i have decoyed them down for the air rifle but the bags are basically a cpl at best, i would still have my airarms s200 if i did sell the HW 97k , i think i will eventually need it all but as you say not neccessarily now,i have the bug though and ant to be out gettting decent bags.i have attempted to make a home made bouncer and i will try it at the weekend and see how i get on . cheers guys.

hi there ,what to do , i have just got my shotgun cert and have some pigeon decoys ,now my dilemma is do i sell one of my air rifles to buy a pigeon flapper and a rotary as i have £600 for a new shottie i need more cash. i have a HW 97 with a v mach tuning kit in it and a new nikko sterling 4-12-50 ao ir scope. What should i do,wait and save or sell and get what i want now . im tempted to sell just not sure as i love this gun but needs must .If only i could win the lottery . Peter

i have an S200 ,in .177 and i think its great ,ambi stock and more accurate than i am, iv never had a shot of the 410 but cant fault the 200 , i dont think you would be disappointed with either but i love my 200, good luck with your choice. Peter

i go out alone a lot mate,as the man says half the noise ,find i concentrate more on my own ,companys fine now and again though. i like the fact that if i fancy getting out for a few hours i can just get up and go, if you rely on taking someone with you all the time you will miss out and you will need to orginise everything ,try it and see how you get on, i bet you will take much more in when your alone and without distraction. happy hunting Peter

hi there ,i have an S200 in .177, i fill to 180 bar and use H&N baracuda's , there 10.7 grain , plenty shopping power and a reasonable trajectory , i find there good on accuracy to. Peter
-
yep iv got all of the above but the tree's go in a L shape and they dont land on a particular tree ,it varies ,i get some ,others you have to move position to get a shot of and thats when they take off, sometimes they just fly by my 6 decoys hence the though about a flapper to help them come in . i think its going to be camo netting , is the stealth netting any good? Peter
-
ok ,im beginning to be swayed away from a pop up hide and lean more towards camo netting , il go for a good quality one and hide poles ,any recommendations on the camo, will look up burlap etc, still waiting on your comments on the flapper if anyone has any idea's that would be great Peter
-
yeah, i thought about that but iv read that they get caught up in everything and you spend ages untangling them, im not sure if thats true though, plus i think you would freak out anyone you happen to meet whilst out shooting haha, worth considering maybe ,any advice about using a flapper with my decoys or any other suggestions wi might use to improve my chances and results Peter
-
i tried that , when ever you move to get a shot off there gone , there is little cover where i shoot and they see me most times before they land ,i just need to find the right tactics . Peter
-
Hi there , im thinking about buying a pop up hide ,are they any good for shooting pigeons from ,or would i be better buying camo netting instead , i have been using the clearview net but its to transparent and the pigeons sometimes see you through it.i have been putting out 6 FUD decoys and was also wondering if a flapper would help bring the pigeons in, keeping in mind we need the pigeons to land when shooting with an air rifle . i also want to be able to shoot them out the tree's as sometimes they land there rather than with the decoys and if im in a pop up hide will this restrict me . Any

hi there , i have the ns50 , i think its a great bit of kit,can see out to 70 yards with it on a clear night , i have just got a lithium battery off ebay for it that can fit to the stock so no wires ,cost £15 and last for over 2hours at least , there is a thread in the night vision section with a link to the batteries if your interested . i dont think you will be disappionted with it though , great for the rats and rabbits alike . cheers Peter -
hi Davy , my mate tried the handy cam route , and i dnt think it was that great , the image he got was only good out to 25 yards and it took a long time to get his gun zeroed , the handy cam was moving the reticle all over the place and in the end he gave up, at least with the ns50 you just stick it on and if your scope is zeroed before hand then its just a matter of sticking it on and away you go, i suppose its just down to what you like ,im not sure what Ir light he used but it cost about £90. Cheers anyway Davy. Peter

i have the nitesite ns 50 and i think there a great bit of kit,i would much rather use it than lamp , my kills have increased because of it , both rats and rabbits hate it though as i have been hitting them hard ,the image quality is great and i dont think you will get any better nv for that kind of money. Peter

does sound faulty , mines works great ,never had any problems with it, i would return it and get a replacement one ,if you get one that works then there a great bit of kit. Peter

Cheers mate , i dont mean to bitch , and being old school im not up to date with what words people use now, in my day the word was used as a derogatory term and to slag people off, think im a bit out of touch maybe . no need to apologise , i was just bringing it to your attention.back to your post , im not really sure what these blokes have been up to but if there up to no good i hope they get whats coming to them. Peter

Hi Shepp, im sorry if im a little off your topic here and dont mean to highjack your thread but im really pissed off about your use of the word retard in the title , as a father of a little girl with special needs or retard as you would say i grieves me to see how you link these guys who are going by what you say a bit sketchy with the word retards , what im mean to say is there are many other things you could have called these lads without offending anyone who actually lives and cares for someone with special needs [retard],i was in two minds about posting this but thought i had to as most sp

hi there , i decided to go for a wander on my new permission last night , an hour before i was going out it was pouring down ,thankfully the rain did go off , so off i went hoping for a good evening of sport. the farmer told me there was a path that lead to the bottom of the fields and i could go that way instead of going over the fences through the fields .Well i dont think you could really call it a path ,more like a stream and in the pitch black i was stumbling about all over the place , nearly fell on my arse a few times and was cursing him as walking through the fields and a few fences wa
