So i went out last Friday night between 8-10pm, and my GOD it is hard to stalk rabbits going to take a lot of practise. dont think it helped that my dad is the loudest man i have ever met, it was if he was trying to let them know we were here aha had a big walk around and found out where they seem to be so will hopefully go up next friday aswell have another go might try just sitting outside a burrow this time, plus hopefully my GF's dad will let me borrow his coleman lamp see if i can get any to sit as we only used a low power torch. anyway Cheers for the advise hopefully keep you
  2. Some class boxers held their hands low, the art is quick feet and reactions! Totally agree, just didnt think he looked that quick. Then again his opponant in that video refused to throw many punches so hard to tell. im sure i saw a video a couple years back of joe calzaghes son talking about some of his amatuer fights :S maybe i imagined it just tried looking for it and cant see it anywhere aha
  3. Holds his hands to low if he was fighting someone who actually threw some punches theyd of caught that chin. then again he could of been looking for the counter. did anyone hear anything of Calzaghes son? thought he was going to fight like his dad

  5. yeah i think your probably right hopefully going up there this friday/saturday night for a nosey picked my dad up from work there a yesterday and we have a quick drive down one of the fields with full beam on and saw a few rabbits so they are definatly about which is always good i guess! and thanks for that link i know what ill be revising at work today Enville is a lovely place to be honest.   6. cheers gurtwurtz thats a quality idea with the yellow pages! and yeah i have been shooting in the kneeled position aswell as prone but ill have to try the knapsack idea out! stevosmith - I'm pretty sure the rifle will be powerfull enough to take them out humanely providing i'm close enough if i didnt think it was upto it i dont think id attempt it. i was worried about this for a bit and was thinking of taking the dog with me to retrieve them if they're injured and trying to get back to the burrow as i dont want it suffering but i dont have permission with the dog so im not going to risk i

Brilliant advice ill make sure my camo's n jacket are well broken in then so you reckon dont use the bipod? i have another .22 gas air rifle but i dont think its as powerfull (or atleast doesnt feel it) hopefully its at ++++++++++++ where my dad works, the game keeper said it would be okay just got to let security know before hand and my dad needs to take his staff badge and hopefully my girlfriends dad has got some permission to do some beating at enville estate but i dont know if hes just blowing smoke lol thanks again for all the responses guys ill post a pic of my firs

Like you say i had got it in my head the brighter the light the better, glad to have that cleared up i guess ill be on Ebay tonight then looking for one with a dimmer my girlfriends dad has got a Coalmans lamp but wont let me use it as he said they dont make them any more but ive been reading some good reviews about "Deben" and "Lightforce" any opinions on getting a silencer? and also is the red filter better for eye shine? Hi Guys, I've recently got some permission with my dad on some fields where he works, and were looking to take the air rifle down to try our luck on some rabbits. ive only got a relativly cheap £100ish .22 break action air rifle that i got from a local famer and machene shop then bought a 3x scope and a bipod for it. I have zero'd it in and have had a few pidgeons and magpies with it at 20-30 yard in the garden. i feel pretty confident that i could get a humane shot on a rabbit and have been practasing most nights after work. so really my question is what technique should i using

  13. same happened to my dads 2.5 lecacy recently but before the head went on us it drove like a beast. luckily we picked up another 38,000 mile engine off ebay for £525.00 delivered with warranty fitting it this weekend cant wait. as for the foresters ive only heard good things about them as a rough terrain car mainly because of the high ride.
