here in county durham we have seen a few this year more than last year they seem in better numbers a left and right shot on one drive and about 2 in the bag per shoot ,tis good to see them about even if they are still flying after both barrels have gone off ,a truly sporting bird in my opinion

les i just looked through your site snipe hunter and thought what a superb area you have to hunt some really good pictures too it puts the uk to shame but i guess we do have some great land to shoot and hunt ,the snipe are a trult fantastic bird to shopot or miss as the case maybe , for me here its the woodcock i have much admiration for this truly sporting quarry to see them lift turn and jink in fifht makes the hairs stand on end then its too late there gone a shot missed but hey ho theres always next time thanks for sharing your gallery cheers rob

well last night was if you were oop north was a good lamping night dark and wild except the driving rain was far from ideal but you cant catch nothing sitting at home ,so off we went with woodga tip and flyte loaded up the jeep and set about the 40 mile trip to worlds end (it felt like that anyway) as you can see from the photos the fields were like running rivers in places and there were some deep mud holes about just waiting to be stud in . clouds whistled by the 3 quarter moon and we set off to reduce the coney population by a few ,colins dogs worked well and as always made me proud to

auld hector "aka mr hovis meister " would of bagged up before nine he was busy that day but he will return for another trip soon am sure rex digger yup it was us the river looks like it has some nice stretches to fish ,any size browns you had , me bro on a previous visit had this one about 6 lb they look like big gold fish swimming about

we were out again sunday trying to catch a few and see if i could put the record straight and beat me brother to which i did ,i had about 8 and if i had caught all i had hooked well a boat full was there to be had barbless hooks got a lot to answer for , me son managed to hook and cathc a few too so that made my day even better well the rain at the start did not put us off its the 2 hr drive home that does ,we all had another fine time out with the fly heres a couple to peruse

yeah you have to keep an eye out for him , tho he did get his own back when i fell over the fence into the ditch and nettled me napper ooooo i can still feel the heat on ,me head i will not say he fell over the other day ferreting because i said i would nt do it , things fine here hope you is too

it was great time i had in the short time i was there never a dull moment with like minded people long may it continue superb , thanks to woodga ratcherman molly and of course MR "bum fest" T , hope your town halls had eased a bit them nettles are a bit hot at this time of year ,the spade is that thing with the handle on and metal at the other side

well today woodga ratcherman teapot molly were off ferreting ,so he said leave the wires down another night and i would collect the gold today ,so 6.30 arrived tipping it down from the heavens i pulled my slef into the jeep nad set off the 45 min journey on the long road to the snaring ground only to be greeted up there by grey over cast weather , i did not think there would be many caught due to there previous haul ,see other thread ,how wrong was i ,we had had rain most of the night so i did not expect the rabbits to travel to far from the wood but as the night and early morn broke they mus

another good catch ,shiney new wires too another myth laid to rest ,i wash mine first ,then bury them 2.4 inch below the suface covered in plain flour not self raising this weathers them to a perfect colour then boil for 5 mins then bobs your uncle a fully working snare , ,see what tomorrow brings i hope there is a good bag to collect for me -
i am dissapointed mr tea pot without a cup in his hand ,oh it must be out of shot , i hope there is a good catch as the amount of rabbits in them fields will hopefully show , but as i been told a lot of times you can only catch them if they run the run never a truer word said ,ps can ratcher please wear a hot its blinding me see you saturday hopefully
