Back again everyone After fishing in rarotonga, and busting up back in NZ on Snapper last week I logged back in to the "counselling"site due to bad weather And surprise they have dusted off this ripper The vid looks at Game Fishing evolution in NZ- including footage of Zane Grey working out on a large Marlin. Absolute nostalgia trip - and trust you enjoy this also http://www.ziln.co.nz/program_detail.php?program_id=2220&channel_id=112 very nice

Another darned good video here Wild Goat Menace (1946) Young men of the Pest Control Division of the Internal Affairs Department are learning to become hunters to control the wild goats, pigs and deer that are stripping vegetation leading to severe soil erosion on steep countryside. There were an estimated 40 thousand goats in the area and 30 parties of two each should clear it in about 3 months. In this steep country, where the goats are wary, the hunters need to be good long-range shots. http://www.ziln.co.nz/program_detail.php?program_id=1711&channel_id=112 Good old days-

Once they cross the Upper Waitara River they enter extremely remote country where pigs breed freely. A bounty of one shilling is paid for each snout and tail. The hunters quarter their pigs and load up with 50lbs each for the long trip home.

hello or kia ora from nz we have a very keen hunting and fishing /outdoor culture down here and I have always enjoyed being out with the boys hunting whether for ducks, or pigs through to deer a couple of times as we have kids now, and as a result i am pretty much restricted to fishing in the ocean and living the city life making a buck that said i have discovered i can live my life vicariously and check out my passions by surfing the net and finding communities of like minded folks i hope you dont mind me sharing some of my favourite video sites and the odd tale with y'all and i loo
