    Think he means the charity PDSA sounds like pus could be in the puncture wound bathing it with warm water and salt or water/hydrogen peroxide may help to draw the fluid, also a course of broad spectrum antibiotics the vets is ok if you can afford but if you cant go back to the PDSA and tell them the dog is suffering and needs treatment.

    I have been round salukis all my life and dont consider myself setimental in any way but it is our custom and tradition they stay with us for life. Unless in exceptional circumstances we gift one out but that is very rare.

    salukis if socialised properly are safe in a family with young kids but as with any dog you can get a wickeed one, and with any dog it should never be left alone with young kids.

    Its not the issue of people showing next seasons stock , its the fact that a genuine question was asked about a lot of the pups from last year thats not crabbing or slagging . Most dog lads have dogs for life and some seem to change them with each season what is the reason ?

    This is where the problem lies with a lot of aspiring dogmen they look at a dog and what it achieves either by reading about it or watching edited clips on the internet.if a dog makes its reputation on the land and is seen to do it season after season then if you intend to use it as a stud or possible brood then go and see the dog run a couple of times yourself and make up your own mind, to many golden balled dogs fail to produce any worth while off spring it is more than lining a brood you do you own research into lines and compatability and as said see it run preferably on different types of

    Fat connot turn to muscle mateif you dont have any fat then how do you build muscle the fat helps to assimilate the protein into muscle doesnt it by giving energy to exercise to build muscle unless metabolisms have changed

    A dogs own saliva will help prevent infection if it can lick the wound the main reason infections start are because of a foreign body being inside the wound or in warm weather flys will transfer bacteria to the wound. either way flush the wound out with a salins solution and either let the dog keep it clean or put a barrier cream on it. antibiotics are for cases were a puncture wound is likely to harbour a bacterior or a tear is subcutanious and could have contaminants in it.
