    I got my first dog at 4 I am now 67. My Family my Fathers side in Iran and my Mothers family in Ireland have kept dogs for generations when I was in the Army that was my graft as you put it,my family kept my dogs as my attention was else where we have over 40 dogs in the kennels in Iran but I worked dogs at every opportunity. . Now I am RETIRED I have given 100% of my time to my dogs if thats ok with you now worry about what you do and let me give what evertime to what everI wish . if I only played at something as many of you appear to do I wouldnt bother doing it.     ffs if you do something give it 100% attention to detail action everything. On my wife Birthday I give her 100% attention on that day not everyday. If I am repairing my motor I give it 100% concentration while I am doing it. I keep running dogs so I give them 100% attention so they do what it says on the tin, now is the off season so it doesnt require my full attention. If its to difficult for you to comprehend then just live with it lifes to short.

    They run from Turkey up through the Middle East , Central Asia to China on every game and terrain to many people assume they are purely a sand dog its just a learning curve for some folk.ATB

    Ive lived a very full and satifying life,probably more than most. When my career was my life I wasnt responsible for dogs my relatives were. I helped raise and educate 5 children all grown up, 4 with kids of their own.I am retired and fortunate dont owe anybody anything so yes my dogs get 100% what they need it also satisfies most of my needs and my family are comfortable witht that so you do what you need to and I do what I need to.

    I'm sorry but that's nonsense, you don't have to put 100 percent in to be a decent lurcher owner So you obviously dont have 100% commitment to your dogs, I do to mine.If something is worth doing then surely 100% commitment is essential obviously you dont agree thats you choice. Hows my commitment nonsence ? If I do anthing ,I dont go about it half arsed.

    One thing I have learnt about dogs you work with what you have got, the pluses and minuses, you try to enhance the qualities and try to compensate for the minuses. Nothing is written in stone in the dog game its guaranteed to be euphoric and break your heart all in the same day but thats life enjoy what you have give it 100% no one can do more than that. If you arent prepared to give 100% then get into another game.

    Lots of lads selling well known line bred stuff are full of bull shit also. Plenty of top papered dogs are not what they purport to be. Most dogs fit for purpose stay with one owner all their lives dont get punted around the country as studs etc. Eperience says that a good dog will have been watched at one time or another even if its by only one or two knowledgeable folk. Videos may or may not be what they seem its easy to pick and choose and leave discarded stuff on the cutting room floor, a dog out in the frost putting in a shift in real life will soon be exposed if it comes up short any dog

    Stick to the dogs club you know about as much as them see making more assumptions that I only know about salukis I keep them the rest of the family ,youd be suprised what they keep you really are pathetic.
