Yes this guy tried it on me as well, he is from south America somewhere. There's plenty of them about. Total nutters, or very lonely people!!!!

Getting the hang of my Benjamin Discovery now since I got it back from the Shop. New bolt action nice and smooth now. Had my first kill the other day, a crow, you don't realize how big they are until you pick them up, or how much they weigh. This one was on a power cable, when the shot hit him he swung upside down for some minutes, wings flapping still hanging on, then he dropped. He died well the old kid did!!!!

I got the gun back yesterday, The bolt action is entirly different from how it was. It now works perfectly how it should. I am quite happy now with the outcome and ready to go shooting. Thanks for all your support guys.

Thank's for all your comments. I am now waiting for a letter that is being sent to me and the Gun shop, from the distributor who holds the gun at the moment. I will act according to what that says. In the mean time I have been into another gun shop that has also got this gun in stock, just to see if he has had any complaints from people he has sold one to. Unfortunately he hadn't sold one at all and was wishing he hadn't bought them in, as this gun had shown very little interest to his customers. I am getting a bit impatient now so soon it will be time to put the big boots on.

Has anyone got a Benjamin Discovery air rifle. I had mine given to me back in July this year for my birthday. Since then apart from using it to set up my new scope, it hasn't been fired in anger. This is due to the fact that the bolt kept jamming and it went back to the shop. They returned it after a month, only for it to jam again after only a few shots.Back to the shop it went again, this time it was sent back to the distributors, they have had it for a month also and still can't make up their mind what to do with it. I have asked for a replacement gun, but they seem to be reluctant to give

Since found out it's a Norica Laurona .177. He has now ordered a new scope for it, no stopping him now!!!

I reckon you need to talk to one of your relatives. Talk him into putting a bit of money your way to start you off, then get a part time job or start a car cleaning round, nothing comes easy in this world lad.!!!

Have any of you guy's got a Benjamin Dicovery fitted with a QB pellet mag. I have been researching this bit of kit and it says that it needs a slight mod to the bolt in order for the bolt to pull back further. They suggest taking 3mm off the back end. Is this something that needs to be done by a qualified gun smith, or is it something reasonably simple to do. I have use of a machine shop with a lathe etc.

Hi Mark, I'm new at this game as well, just joined this forum this week. I know Sutton Coldfield well, used to live in Four Oaks many moons ago before moving to Lichfield and then on to Harbury near Southam. Moved to Herefordshire now, retired, so plenty of time to start a new game.

Hi Stubby, yes it is cc related, I ride an Aprilia Pegaso 650cc Single cylinder thumper. It gets me around I live near Hereford.

Well spotted Phantom, you are probably right.

I'm not sure of the make Roger, but it was a .177 and I think of Russian origin. He bought it from his local hardware shop. He is pleased as punch with it. In Spain you need a licence to keep any gun, including an air rifle. They live inland up in the mountains, locally known as the Campo, 20 miles from Malaga.

My daughter and family live in Southern Spain. During a recent visit in August I took my Diana .177 for some can shooting on there extensive land, and due to the extreme heat of 40+c at times we had plenty of cans to shoot at.When I left I gave my grandson some money for his birthday to put towards a gun for himself. By the time I had driven back to the U.K this pic came through. I reckon he got hooked on shooting.

Good grouping from the older girl, well done!!!

Wish I could go, my gun has gone back to the shop. They are going to replace it.

where in the UK are you mate??? I'd be quite happy to put it on my combro for you if you're within the viscinity of Newcastle area p.s Nice looking gun too Darryl Thanks Darryl for your offer, I'm a bit away from you I live in Herefordshire. I had to take my gun back to the shop today as a recurring fault cropped up again. The bolt kept sticking and unless brute force was used no way could you load the pellet. Not how it should be in my book.I had fitted a Hawke HD Sport 50mm scope and had only used the gun to set it up, plus one woody kill in the garden. I can't wait to get i

A saddle might be useful, give the kids a nice ride!!! -
Thanks for your replies chaps. I have contacted the shop where I bought it from, they have assured me that it would have been restricted to the UK market regulations and therefore not required to have an FAC. Having found that out, what would I need to do to de-regulate it. Having watched some video footage on You Tube of guys using this type of gun, I'm sure they must be much more powerful than this one. To break a glass bottle from 100 meters is no mean feat.

Hi I am a newby to this forum, and a newby for owning a .22 cal.Benjamin Discovery air rifle. I have been doing a bit of research on various web sites, getting information about my new gun, watching you tube clips etc. and deciding on what type of pellets to use for best results for rabbits and rats etc. One website gave a calculation chart for working out what pellet gave the most output for a given velocity. Taking the ft/per/sec velocity of my gun being a claimed 900ft/per/sec,using a pellet with a weight of 21.25 grains, which was the H&N Diabolo Baracuda, the final calculation was t
