Had a go at making a natural catty, made to fit my hand and now has been banded up with triple theraband black and kangaroo pouches. Hopefully get out soon do a bit of hunting to see how it feels. It'd be good to see some fellow catty hunters post up some pictures of their natural cattys. All the best, Traditional

Did anyone read this weeks countrymans weekly in regards to a member of the countryside alliance calling for the RSPCA to be stripped of its Royal Title due to it becoming a politically motivated organisation, stated that 'it was once a great institution, but the direction it's going is very sad.'. It talks about the RSPCA becoming more of an Animal Rights polictically motivated organisation and that it actually breaches the charitable objectives set by the Charity Commission. So looking at the Charity Commissions Regulatory Risk Framework, it states that Parliament have gave them 5 statut

Good Morning, Sheffield catapults thanks for your reply, Its interesting that you like the OTT for hunting as it enables you to reload and fire again at a quicker pace, You're right the PFS is a type of catty not elastic set up method, however i didnt specify i was refering to elastic set ups just what do hunters prefer using, what do you think of PFS for hunting? You said that you have always been a fan of using the Kangaroo leather pouches I can understand they are soft and light which therefore should assist the speed and direction of the projectile, these new in laminated pouches sound int

Micckey thanks for the response, I see what you are saying about hand slaps, a lot of people say that's the reason they are deterred from using OTT cattys and instead go to using TTF. I like using both, I usually use light pouches (kangaroo leather) for OTT cattys, although I use some heavier pouches sometimes. I agree hunting with the catapult is excellent, it is a great skill to master and brings great enjoyment, not just the catty hunting but making your own catapults (btw you cattys are impressive) and perfecting it, like you have mentioned its a nice tool that works and bags the game but

Good to hear you ordered your first proper catty pinguu, what style did you go for? This valley you speak off sounds excellent, many days fun you'll spend there, look forward to your reports and pictures. All the best, Traditional. -
Thanks to the mods for creating a section for the Catty enthusiasts, I look forward to reading many interesting topics on here from days out hunting using the catty to homemade cattys, and catty modifications, All in one place so we can easily find the relevant topics. To kick start the section off, what do you catty hunters prefer using and why OTT (Over The Top), TTF (Through The Fork), or PFS (Pickle Fork Shooter)? All the Best, Traditional

Ferret Fleas and remedy
Traditionalhunter replied to Traditionalhunter's topic in Ferrets & Ferreting
Has anyone tried or heard of 'xeno spray'? I have only just heard of it myself. It has been made for a list of animals and a ferret being one. It tackles internal and external parasites? I'll be looking into the powder and the frontline treatments, thanks for the feedback. All the best, Traditional -

Non taken reddawn, was put on here to get responses and advice always good to hear back. A few of my friends said bob martins is bad news but this was after I used it, it worked well. What would be your preferred product? As if there better stuff is rather get that. All the best, Traditional -
Just giving a review in a product I used. It's called 'bob martins all in one flea spray' 'pesticide free'. It cost me £5.60 from the local supermarket, this isn't a prescription product so can be bought over the counter and it states that it sorts out all stages of a flea infestation from larvae, eggs to fleas. After cleaning the hutch out and sprayed the bed and hutch, then sprayed my ferret. Sprayed the bed and ferret each morning for 2 days and not a flea in sight it worked really well and leaves the ferret coat all nice. I would reccomend this product to anyone and will be using it agai

Are you referring to a DVD called 'Digging with the keepers'? It was mentioned some time ago in THL when a thread was started about the dog called 'Rambo' haven't seen it myself but many people seem to hold the view that Rambo wasn't all that. Where can I get this DVD? All the best, Traditional -
