"and the judge should not be blinded by a dog thats got no jaw on seen loads" All the finalists were judged on the following criteria: 1/ condition, 2/confirmation, 3/ wether fit and bred for purpose. No dog should ever be discarded in a working terrier event if its marked up or scarred? but, a dog with no jaw cannot hold onto its quarry and therefore would autimatically be marked down as its no longer fit for purpose!     At the end of the day the five nations was a good idea. and all the dogs had to be entered terriers that work great idea but unless you see them 6 dogs working actually going to ground on their own finding staying and breaking through to them or the quarry bolting them 6 dogs are just 6 dogs in a show ring them scars on them dont mean jack shite theres a lot nicer dogs than them 6 dogs about in scotland england wales and ireland seeing as it was just a six dog affair the organisers should have organised days out with these dogs untill all dogs had been tried and tested but thats all good in th

    We have a seperate judge for the Champion of Champions, this will start at 11am. Then two more judges for the Open Terrier Show. cheers for that how come they arnt having two for the championship this year then After feed back from some of the competitors last year, it was decided that to keep the judging on a fair & even level only one judge was needed, so they can have a proper look and run their hands over ALL the qualified dogs.     yes i read it properly and must say i wouldent have posted that last one as it quite clearly states the three entered judges soz but you can see were i got confused cant you when it says ds dident win anythink and now he has and you can clearly see that it was you who mentioned harewood first cant you i just read it again and i cant see were anybody said that it was a strange occurance to anybody only you but never mind good to chat with you all the best dangermouse

    hi have been reading this thread so now its clear that dogman71 was right about who would win but not right about what dog or how old it was does he still have to pay the 100 pound that was bet or do you have to pay it just wandering and why would you qualify 10 dogs in your own show if your not going to show them in the final of your own show when you could have had another 10 dogs owned by other people in the final dont make no sense to me
