  1. Same same! We did all this, summer holidays we were posted missing all day every day, fishing, air guns, dens, hanging round the flyover on the M74 to see if any of the rigs lost enough rope to make a swing! Autumn, down the Clydeside to raid the orchards, me ma used to give me a list of the fruit she wanted for jam making!! I think she got so used to my antics that she gave up trying to stop me and put me to use instead....grabbing tumshies or tatties out of the parks....great fun. Although one farmer up Quarter way caught us up the tree one day and tied a psycho Fresian bull to the tree,
  2. Always thought you could dry them in a kind of right angle and use them for coat hooks....never got round to it.....my dogs usually get them!
  3. Due to my advancing years, size and hairiness thats what the lads at the rugby club called me...silverback. I would give my right knacker to do that, it must be an amazing experience.....the power of that big male.....
  4. There's a question, us boys North of the border don't need licenses up here, do the lads who are fishing have to buy a visitor's license??

Nairn is good and so is Silver Sands at Lossiemouth, plenty to do and the sea breeze keeps the midgies away....well mostly!
  6. .222 all the way, my re-loading guru is a mad professor, ex-forces shooting instructor....he reckons the CZ action is unbeatable in .222. I dont use mine as much as I should, since I got my .243 I have become addicted to that, but then again, you wouldnt be shooting rabbits with the .243. If you want a foxing round and can headshoot rabbits, get a CZ .222 you wont go wrong. Easy to get ammo too....
  7. Bulls eyes stuck to the lab roof really good I seem to remember.....there was one up there for ages! Also we had the lungs getting blown up with a bike pump to demonstrate how they inflated....great stuff.... I used to bring in newts and water beetles and stuff to the lab techs and they kept them in tanks....

Got in to work early this morning, me my mate at 06:50 as he was going in, he is on 'duty' there all weekend.....he is a skiving copper scumbag and has blagged duty there all weekend....still, he is looking out for decent deals on kit for us both....usually wangles a discount using warrant card! I will let him know there is a blagger in a wheelchair around the place!!
  12. They are covered in most house insurance as sporting equipment and most policies have an individual item up to a set amount, the policy usually covers you away from the home as well. BUT as we all know, insurance coys are robbing scumbags and will try an wriggle out of paying anything at any time, so read carefully! If in doubt, take out separate insurance, BUT again, tread carefully as they will try and get out of those policies as well.... I have had to step in twice for mates who lost tools through robbery, one from his work van that was insured as a works vehicle and had mega cont

  15. Just read the article myself, they are saying that 14 of the 22 were definitely killed by illegal poisoning, but they will not say what poison killed them! Sounds like a royal fekk up on thier part and now they are squirming, looks like they have killed the poor wee veggie raptors themselves.....
  16. +1 Bart, fish heads and skin and bones, off the deer they get the ribcages and any trimmings go into a big bag for them, give them a leg for a chew also.....but the fillets, shoulders and haunches, eh naw! Thats for me!!!
  17. Just had a text from a SACS member up in the Inverness area, apparently the Press and Journal, Inverness edition has printed a story today, outlining the fact that the RSPB have been caught leaving sheep carcasses out for the raptors, doped up with drugs for liver fluke.....apparently these anti liver fluke drugs have been proven to cause death in birds......OOOOOPS! Seems the cops and the RSPB are being tight lipped about what drugs/poisons were used and that any allegations that may be made are misguided and foolish - really? Pots and Kettles??
