  1. Hello and welcome, dunno about clubs, but if you know anyone involved in hunting, they will probably be more than glad to take you out. It's always best to go out with someone who knows what they are up to.....have fun!
  2. ND3's dont like the cold, as my shooting mate has found out, he's not too happy! Even tried wrapping handwarmers round it, still fades out...we'll have to wait till its a bit warmer to see how it performs.
  3. Went out again last night, nowt, not a living thing! We lamped about for about 3 hours, called, nowt! And as we drove back into the village, charlie bolted across the road in front of us, next time. Will have another go on Friday afternoon....
  4. Was out for a wee wander at the weekend, had spotted some slots in an earlier snowfall, so was hoping to come across a doe for the freezer. There were no fresh slots, so I took off along the fence line and came across fox sign, very fresh, powder still lying on the outside of the tracks....followed them down to a big expanse of gorse, couldnt see any sign of the fox, but I knew it was about. Had a wee look at a shrew that had popped up out of a snow hole, was running avout looking for scoff.....just then the fox came out of the gorse about 70 yards away, he hadnt seen me. I got down and set u

  8. Done a deal with Smiles on here recently, absolute gent. We met halfway and swapped our stuff and had a natter, top guy. There are some decent folks out there for sure.....just keep yer wits aboot ye.
  9. Interesting read, when I applied for my coterminous licence, I had already installed the cabinet that the person I was buying the guns from had given me. (the guns were with a firearms dealer) Now the person that I bought them from had his licence and had used this cabinet to store them, however when my FAO arrived for my interview, he knocked back the cabinet as not appropriate and insisted I buy a 'proper' cabinet before he would even consider allowing my application through. I did as asked and he even came back to check it before progressing my licence. Funny how different FAO's take a dif
  10. Hi all.... does anyone know of a stockist in the UK that supplies these adaptor tubes? I have had a look online, but cant find any suppliers. One of my older shooting buddies is currently using a 10g and is looking for a set of 10 - 12xl tubes. We have found them in the states ok, but are a bit wary of ordering incase we get clobbered for import duty.... Any help appreciated! Cheers Wullz.....
  11. Cracking wee guns these, cant fault it. Deal has been agreed on the rifle now, thanks everyone!
  12. I can vouch for SACS as well mate, know the boys there personally and they are a good bunch. Several members have ran into trouble (unfounded) and SACS have come good and got the situation sorted out. Cheaper thans BASC and better insurance too!
  13. Makes me weep to read folks slagging off Staffs, they are "fat barrels" , "all growl" etc etc....and to see what has happened to some of the poor beasts in the press...owned by divots who dont know one end of a dog from another. These chavvy fekkwits shouldnt be allowed to own a dog, never mind a Staff. Great workers and great companions....a true British icon. Staffs are one of the best dogs on the planet and next chance I get I will get another.
  14. Hi everone, just joined up, cracking site. Just got back into shooting heavy, been an angler for years. Found it by accident when looking for tips on building a single handed lamping frame for my 4x4...anyone got any good tips for this? cheers Wullz
  15. Hi all, I have a Theoban Fenman for sale, has an Evolution Silencer, Simmons 3x9 x 40 scope and a bag, there are also a few tins of pellets there as well. It has had very light use and is in great condition, there is a ding on the outside of the scope eyepiece where some eejit bumped it, but the scope still works perfectly. I'm only selling it as I have my FAC and shotgun and I have not used the carbine for nearly a year, so I am hoping someone will get some good use out of it. Usual stuff, over 18's only please. I'm looking for around £300 for it, but I will listen to offers!
