A moderator is a moderator, it will be proofed up to a certain calibre. All I have on my ticket are slots for centre fire and rimfire moderators, no calibre indicated. So I could buy that moderator for any of my two centrefires....BUT in saying that, I have heard of other people who have had dedicated mods put onto their tickets. Is this down to different police forces? Not trying to cause a barney lads, just pointing something out. I know SACS and BASC are currently trying to get mods taken off type 1 at the moment, so that they can be handled as non-firearms.....seems sensible to me....

Not me, but my auld man, he fell into a vat of acid when he was 18 at a yard in glasgow, screamed as he went in and swallowed some, he has burns all down his left hand side where the skin melted and sloughed off. He had renal failure and was in a coma for weeks....this was 1960 and the treatment in them days was wrap you up in bandages and then rip them off again every week....he was a fit lad then, boxing and footy, so he managed to survive. !990 he got jumped by 5 lads on his way home from the bowling club, he melled 2 of them and then one hit him on the head with a bottle from behind, tou

Hi lads, just a note to inform everyone on here about the ongoing situ on Findhorn bay, if you didnt already know. There is a group up there calling themselves the Friends of Findhorn Bay, basically an anti shooting mob. There have been on going and now escalating actions of intimidation carried out by this group against shooters carrying out their legal rights. People in hi-viz jackets are appearing during day and evening flights and running about in front of the guns, walking towards guns, waving, clapping and shouting happy geese, happy geese - I know, go figure......get a life!

Se, I made it to replace a couple of wooden recliners that have given up the game. (they have been taken to pieces and the wood will go in my washing machine firepit this summer!) But, the cushions off them fit the bench no bother, I will let you see once the Mrs has tarted it up......nae splinters lads, I have sanded it since and it has cushions, all for the price of some screws and a tin of wood stain....and I get a couple of good fires too...... I will bring the front row up from the club to test it out......

I managed to get my hands on some pallets that my mate was chucking out from his workshop, they were going into the skip.......unlikely if I am around! Pallets are handy things, from duck hides to firewood, depends on the state of them... Anyway, as I said, was kicking my heels a bit, Mrs was away and I had the sprogs....out came the drill driver, the hammer and a saw, had a few odds and ends lying around and I knocked this up, no design, just started putting them on top of each other and this is what I came up with....... I have sanded it down and given it a couple of coats of wood

I had a shot at that in the states, used white dyed deer hair, spun it on and then cut it to the shape of a cube (roughly) died the top with pantone pen and it looked like a crust....worked well on the carp over there, havnt tried it here yet..... Just use a fly rod and glue a dog biscuit to a wee wide gap, that'll do you..... Good fun on a fly rod..... This year I want a bass or a mackerel on the fly.......thats my aim....

Awesome dogs, I have worked with them in Germany and I now have my own bitch here, took her off a guy who was overdogged and it has woken my interest again. Cant fault them for spirit and determination.....only thing is, keep them on a lead/harness if you dont want bother! They dont care what is down the hole, they just want to go down and kill it!

Love the mackerel Griff....

I had to go and get my auld nose rebuilt to avoid the pointy elbows......I only had one nostril for years (rugby - mostly). Tell you what, its made a big difference to my nights sleep....no elbows and I am actually sleeping better too.... I had to suffer the Mrs and the kids laughing at me for days on end, cos they put a nosebag on you to catch the blood after the op.....you look a right tool....

All good here mate......just hoping for a decent summer. Yourself? Aye, desperate for some better weather, inland fowling was a washout and the farms round here are like the Somme!! Plenty birds left over on all the estates as well, they missed loads of days due to the r

Hi all, just to let everyone know, there is a meeting about this issue on the 8th March up in Moray, the more names we get on this petition the better. There are MSP's out there who have already stated that they can see no reason why wildfowling should be allowed to continue.....this is another thin end of another wedge......if you can, sign the petition....cheers!!!
