It's tough and I don't think there are any manuals on the subject, guess you have to go with your instincts?
BUT in saying that, we can all spot a potential bad un.....I would like to think anyway!
Had a Mk1 Cavalier with a mobile unit in it, big red firestick on a mag mount....
That turned me into a skateboard from the Crow's Nest, handle was Snow-Goose.
Used to bomb up and down the M74 talking to the truckers......we had a laugh with it, all the blokes from my apprentice days were into it....
My wee one is 5, all I need to do to make up my mind is think about myself and my mates and what we were like......tell you what, she will be going to nae parties at our rugby club.....unless I am on the door....makes me shudder.....and again that's me I am thinkin aboot!!
Sorry pal, just saw your question now...
He shoots down near the re-claimed land in front of the stadium somewhere, I will try and get directions from him....
I live down near Edinburgh mate, but my mother-in-law has a house in Ardersier and I am up there as often as possible....
The whole coast around there is good for fowling, but trying to get a quiet spot away from the ack-ack boys is the challenge..
I was at Kingssteps this year for the first time, there are some real bams down there, dunno what kind of ammo they were using, but the geese were like specs in the sky....and
Hi,
I have had my Springer now for a few years and in the last 2 weeks, she has started barking in her kennel.
This is after she has been walked/run had a swim, been fed and put back into her kennel with a heat lamp on....
Any ideas why she would start this?
The only thing I can relate it to is that I had 3 weeks off work and we were out shooting as much as possible over those 3 weeks and so she is getting worked less now that I am back at work myself....would that cause it?
How do I stop it!!!
Wullie
The Hardy Boys, a series of books called African adventure, South Seas Adventure, the one that did me in for dogs, Finn the Wolfhound, Kes, anything about fishing or shooting, Wilbur Smith, Hemmingway....
Wife's old boy is a bookie and he hates the fixed odds, no control on it....would not offer it except the punters want it and he has to do it to compete with the big lads. Every year at the start of the footy season, he loses big time cos they havnt sorted the odds out....
Greenhoose is fekked, door halfway across the garden, 3 other panels smashed....had to carry a soakin wet springer and a teckel back to their kennel after the morning walk and then clean up the broken glass. 2 tarpaulins blew away, leaving my 2 log piles uncovered...more jobs to do tonight then!! Havnt checked the roof yet, too feart!
Had to get changed after that and into the office in jeans.....nae other clean breeks!
Howling with laughter here at these comments, top notch!!
I lost my cherry to an older bird when I was younger than this lad, didnt start bubbling and mumping about it! Just told my mates and walked about with my chest puffed out like a fekkin rooster!!
Didnt tell my mates I spewed at the gates on the first attempt!!
I fitted mine myself, blagged some slate off a builder mate and bought the stove, pipework and register plate off a stove place in Hamilton. We had an existing chimney, so there was no need to line it. Got a granny fitted and it draws like fekk, absolutely brilliant way to go. I reckon with the new re-claimed wood mantlepiece stove etc I did it all for under £500. If you are handy with a grinder/polisher and dont mind some heavy lifting....just follow the published regs and have a bash yourself!
One of the most gorgeous bits of Scotland in my opinion! The grayling fishing on the tummel is fantastic, I will be going up there in mid December for a day or two, as the lads have said, you may think you are the only person for hunnerds of miles........bet your ass there is a pair of eyes on you at all times! Not the first time I have had 2 baillies appear out of nowhere and start asking...
but as long as you are doing nothing wrong, it's usually ok. They are usually only too interested to see how you are fishing...
There are keepers up there who would help you out getting places for your
SNP = IRA
Always has done, watch out for these clowns.....their aim is to turn Scotland into the Republic....
If we get a yes vote, this place will turn into a ghost town, no army, no navy, no NHS, no banking nothing, the M74 will be jammed with folks heading south.....to try and keep a decent living going......
