Get your self a shock collar and the dog will be sorted in a few weeks. thats the problem that solution has been tried an hes not afraid of the shock collar hes quite happy to wear it lol he just shruggs it off that must of been a crap collar. the one i got here no dog would shrug it off turned up to 9, feck it had me doing summer salts! i do as im told when i got it on and the missus has the button! if he is thick coated maybe the the prongs wernt connecting with the skin, or it was to loose around the neck?

she knows what to do mate, shes been out with my older pup a fw times and she is fine apart from the retrieve. its just she is still very juvenile so im in 2 minds as to what to do. the question is do i leave her home and wait for her to mature abit more, or do i continue on and wait for her to get threw the puppy stage and put up with her antics? catching is not a problem, she has a good drive when she is running untill she thinks there going to get away then she backs off. as i said i do my best to give her slips i think give her the best chance but odd times they escape to -
Just got back in from a quick shine with the pup. She is 11 months and done really well on the lamp. Mever gave her really long nights or a huge amount of slips. Always do my best at picking her good slipsand she is really good at catching in the open field. She pulls up at hedge lines and fences quite often but has taken a couple at the hedge before. Last week a took her out. She caught her first and took ages to bring it back but it did come back eventually. Second came back alittle quicker, then the 3rd was returned very quickly and was still very much alive. She dropped it at my feet

my mate has a striker which we used to use when i was out with him. i bought a deben 170 variable and i dont think its as good as the striker he had. i like the deben as i use the beam on very low to scan for bunnys then turn it up as the dog runs the beam. i got a striker head and put it on my deben and its alot crisper nicer dot now then it was with the original reflector. ide need them side by side cause im just going on memory to be honest.

Anyone recommend a decent Lamp

i got the deben 170 variable, i put the head off a striker on it and the spot is alot better. its gone from a crappy star/triangle blurred dot, to a perfect round dot. strange but true the LF striker head has improved the lamp. -
here`s mine. no idea whats in hium but collie is ion there im certain! the colour and the wall eye`s give it away.

your cluelite battery pack will be fine with a lightforce lamp. as you said its just a matter to either changing the adapter on the battery, or lamp. or even cutting them both off and wiring direct to the battery. any battery pack will power any lamp, as long as there 12v battery for a 12v lamp. ive seen some 6v lamps but there few and far between. -
nice one moll, wasent the best of nights for it lastnight. i stayed home lol dident even bother to do my local spot. im sure its just the lack of work with rudie.

His sire Desert Star is out of Della Russ but not Amazing Pharo ( Kelvins "Bill" dog) who was killed before the litter were concieved. They did a son/mother mating by putting a dog out of Pharo (bill) and Della called Delightful Cruise back to his mother Della and indicated Bill was the sire so they could register the pup's (plus Bill had a very good reputation as a coursing dog) Stiil very very well bred and ideal for an outcross. All the best with your pup nice to see it explained properly mate, i knew there was a problem with there papers which is why i never try and tell

i took mine when i first got him and he showed no interest and went to sleep so i left him home after that. he wouldn't even look to see what was going on and just got in the way. he turned out fine and now really enjoys a day ferreting. wont do him any harm to take him or leave him mate.

got myself a couple of minutes spare while the boy takes his toys apart! thank god for screw drivers lol. me a j.p started the night off in a little spot just down the road from colin and moll, col pointed us in the right direction and told us which was to work the fields. the first field we hit we managed 4 runs and 3 pic ups within the first 10 mins of walking. couple of really long slips for both dogs but they nailed them at the fence line at the far end of the beam. next couple of fields saw the same but we got a couple of squatters and the dogs hammerd them straight out of there seat.
-
had a great night thanks to you and colin lastnight once again. there would of been alot more then 4 of us if the other lads had come and we would of been on ians land which we were ment to be visiting. but last minute changes still left us with an unforgettable night. we will have to get cars with more seats so the others aren't stuck for a ride next time. seems like all the dogs ran well and everyone of us was proud of what our dogs had done. i could sit here and write loads on the runs we managed and some of the pic ups they had but im to tired lol. safe to say there was a coup

love my 10ah lithium! up grading to a 14ah with gauge next month. never go back to the old type batterys now.
-
this is a very frequently asked question mate. you wont go wrong with a lightforce striker variable and 14ah lithium batterty. charger should come with the battery.

always been told to stay away from grapes and rasins chocolate garlic onion used to add evening primrose oil as a vet told me it was better then cod liver oil for a dogs coat and at the time i had an EBT who suffered from skin conditions.

mine get original chappie dry food as a staple. mixed with lamb and beef heart raw, along with different raw vegetables either grated or shredded. raw egs, just crack the shell open and let them get on. raw or tinned fish, sardines, mackerel, pilchards beef brisket bone, has a huge amount of fat and meat still on the bone but its quite soft so the dogs can much the lot also beef cock root, yes its the muscle at the base of a bulls cock, they get throw away at work and at the end of the day its meat. pigs trotters roasted but not very often as im to lazy to cook em. i never feed m
