    I,ve been trying to find out how to cure rabbit skins cos it seems a waste just to throw them, when i could use them to train my lurcher pup with etc.. Any advice from you folks?? or is it not worth the hassle? cheers Just done a search and found the previous post Can this Salt petre and alum be found at any pharmacy. Can't find where to buy it on google. CHEERS

    Just after a touch of advice from the experts please. My 1st lurcher is 16wk's old now and i have trained/training her to sit, stay, Lie-down and heel on the leed, all of which need a bit of polishing but generally good, especially if there's treats involved. She is also quite good at the recall unless there's other dogs about and she seems to turn deaf at times. Walking the other direction usually does the trick... It's the retrieve that i am just a bit unsure about. I use a rabbit skin dummy for training. She will go fetch and bring it ,sometimes right to me but other times drop it a few

    Morning, after my post the other day asking opinions for the best type of lurcher for me I found a pup from Macclesfield, an old gentlemen who's kept lurchers for 60yrs. Her dam is a Beddlington/Collie X Greyhound, Sire is a pure working whippet 22" so Im hoping for a decent small dog. What do you guys and girls reckon? Cheers

    well thats given me plenty to think about. Maybe whippet/greyhound isn't the ideal cross. carry on searching me thinks...Cheers folks

    The main concern wi u guys would be feet and thin skin with the whippet/grey cross,? would i be right in thinking. Does collie in there help improve these issues and brain power?. So many mixes. Do pure whippets have feet and skin issues too? cheers

    Well grounds def not like a bowling green round here but not like ploughed fields either. Whats your main concern? Bone/feet structure or?? Does a beddy or collie give better bone/skin type?

    Thinking of getting my 1st lurcher and have had no real previous experience with the different mixes. I am hoping to hunt rabbits in small to medium fields in my local area, Lancashire. Seen 1st cross Whippet/Greyhound on net. Sire is a 22" working whippet and Dam is a ex track greyhound 25". oppinions on this cross please. All advice welcome ON other options.... CHEERS.
