    I seem to be hearing more and more rumours of landowners who apparently will shoot my dog on sight, and give me a slap................For what....a bit of sport? I go out on my own, late at night, don't bother no one.......... I now find myself wary of where I go on my own.......... I guess people have been doing it for years, name of the game and all. Does this happen? Anyone had any hassle? dogs shot?

    Interesting..............clearly stamina goes up with fitness but is also in a dogs genes/breeding. So is it easy to say adding certain breeds to a lurcher's blood will improve its stamina? what are these breeds where does the deerhound fit in? cheers

    Deerhound Greyhound, the first half of the cross your looking for!! Buzz at 12 months, a bit slow on the bunnys so far, had about three. Hopefully have it in him to sort out a few other critters lol, otherwise he will be up for sale on here as a 1st class dog, that takes anything day or night, for 500 quid!!!! haha

    I think hares would be better off if coursing was legal. like has been said many more are now being killed because there being shot, hares have not evolved to dodge bullets, they have evolved to RUN!!! I have not and will not ever shoot a hare

    there do seem more about of late, which is a good thing really.Back in 70s the colliexgrey x deerhoundxgrey was a very popular x , they were good on all quarry.I like deerhound in a x, good feet,wind,good coat, drop bit of collie+grey in there brill lurcher i have that exact cross And the pic of the dog Looks SO Simular to mine ( COLLIE DEER GREY 1/4 1/4 1/2) Have you got any photos ferret333?
