  1. The worst thought is that, I doubt its the first time that dog has attacked another dog. So why isn't it on a lead and muzzled. I'll tell you why, because deep down, he loves it when his mad dog "has another dog". Upgrades his status to "double hard". He probably doesn't even like dogs....
  2. Don't expect any help from us English eh!
  3. thats not very sporting off you Scottish are even worse
  4. Mine is at my dads house in "shared security" so we have each others guns on both of our licenses. Shotgun certificate is straight forward, if you have behaved and not mental then there should be no problem...
  5. Well my misses couldn't, because she's scared of the dark.........
  6. I had a hob in with two jills a few years ago, I ended up with 18 ferrets including the parents! Never again!
  7. if your hearts not in your dog you'll always see a wrong in what he does for you get rid and get yourself new dog start over mate lol You Irish lot need your own section, as your all on another planet........
  8. I wouldn't be getting rid of a dog just because it wasn't a goodun.....Every dog has his day......
  9. Then I would be applying for a centre fire, and there's nothing wrong with lamping foxes with a shotgun, except the noise! I get out on foot with a powerful head torch on windy nights with a few ssg loads in my pocket. You need to be about 30 yards away while still learning to ensure clean kills. You will also learn allot about wind direction, calling them in and how crafty they can be....... Good to learn some field craft...
  10. They can only say no mate! If you have got enough suitable land, then research some calibres and apply for whatever you like. I've applied for .17HMR and .223 to be honest if I get them both I will probably just get a decent .223 set up for foxing to start with. Your previous post said " My main reason for getting my FAC, is that iv been turned down permission" I didn't understand that bit
  11. I've just sent off for my FAC after holding a SGC for about 4 years, If you are going to shoot foxes then I would suggest a more suitable calibre, I went for the .223. What permission have you been turned down for?
  12. It'll only end up on the "merry go round" if its homed with a dickhead. There are plenty on here, there's also some genuine people who also believe that a dog is for life. Like I said, good luck, and don't feel the need to give it to the first fella, if you don't like the sound of him....... Alternatively put a price on the dog
  13. Not necessarily. Good luck with finding the right home.
  14. Unless they bring the police and a warrant along, which they can and do. So my mate Dave says Well yes, it might happen if your silly enough to give them reason..... Why we are talking about RSPCA raids I don't know
  15. LOL "RSPCA raid you" They would get f**ked off at the door........ But in all seriousness I just got back from the vets £70 lighter.......
  16. Thanks for the reply's, just put my mind at rest........
  17. First time I wormed my lad was with bob martin I think, and he was proper sick. The flea treatment also nearly killed him. Stay away from any cheap pets at home type stuff. Lesson learned. Stick to the known brands, and read up on what reactions they can have. The wrong dose of anything could kill a dog. I use Drontol wormers and he is OK with them, every dogs different though. Keep an eye on them..........
  18. It says that a referee must not be a member of your immediate family, definitions of "immediate family" vary. I have just had my girlfriends dad sign and act as a referee, we are not married and even if we were I would not consider an in-law as immediate family. Anyone see a problem with this? Also my other referee is a retired army officer and is about 75 and disabled so he filled in the forms there and then when I went to visit him, so I posted his countersigned forms off in a separate envelope ect. The man is paralysed down one side so impossible for him to post it himself.
