  3. Dont mind you using the photo at all Oldskool. Have used smaller ones in the past but not had as much luck as these bigger ones. On the subject of leaving a trap where it is this one has been in the same place for 3 years, just take it in sometime in the summer to paint it up. Got 3 of these out at the moment but its getting hard to catch this time of year because there is so much food about for them. Simmo.
  4. what sizes is that trap simmo. About 6 feet long x 2.5 feet wide and about 3 feet high. Found the smaller ones I've had dont work as well. Simmo.
  5. Usually catch mine on rabbit, but pheasant and chicken are just as good. I tend to find that I catch them when the bait has gone rotten. Probably gives off more scent. Only had a few this year as the weather has not got cold enough and there seems to be plenty of food about for them. Simmo

  18. Looking at September myself unless we get a wet August then I'll kick off a bit earlier. He's at the age where he's trying to take the p*$$ at the moment so he's back on the lead for a bit and only off for his retrieving. He's not to bad though.

  20. When I start mine on retrieve training I use something that they pick up and play with, at the moment I'm using an old glove or a tennis ball. To start off stand between the dog and their kennel and throw the object away. The dog will naturally fetch it back to the kennel and you can intercept him before he gets there and take it off him. At this point give him plenty of praise use his name alot to. When this starts to come natural take him further away, may take some time. Only allow 3 or 4 retrieves a day. This way its still a game and he should'nt get bored. This always works for me, but t
