  1. I think what gobshite was trying to point out was both parents dont look to have seen any work but that could just be the picture and at 3 years old both parent have hardly had time to prove themselves, You say the bitch has done a bit aswell but if i was after a pup i would want it from parents that are both grafters and that have had plenty of time to prove themselves worthy of breeding from, Not having a go mate just stating something, It would be nice to see people stop breeding from second rate dogs that have been dug to a couple of times and automatically become well proven, usually ends
  2. And how would you come to that conclusion? That dog in his pic could be bred out of real good workers, Yours are bred from a ratter and are pups they could all turn out crap or some good grafters you wouldn't know, surely if you had bred them for working you would of had them docked?
  3. Stop ending them can ruin a dog completely! Most terriers become heroes when daylight hits and when the owners there so get bitten for no reason. I wouldt bother stop ending if anything i just let them have a sniff at the side of the shovel but dont let them make contact, unless thats what you meant youngman
  4. Nope mate that dogs going nowhere!, just looking for another pup to bring on thats all pal. Hows the one you kept doing?
  5. I am looking for a well bred terrier pup ideally a bitch and no its not for use as a breeding machine. I know most lads keep it between a select few but thought it worth a try. Im in no major rush i would rather wait for the right pup from tried and tested digging parents. Im in north yorkshire but i will travel for the right pup. Cheers lads
  6. To be fair it may take time and effort but im sure they would get some permission, some of my permission i have now i gained when i was 14 yrs old, i used to get round the local farms and knock on doors, always dressed respectful, none of this trackies and trainers, always spoke politely anyhow its funny how quick you can rack up permission when you have been on one spot in the area it is getting your foot in the door, Its always good to have a bit of common ground like when i ask for permission i will usually just mention i beat on whoevers and do pest control on wherever. Its all about attit

  12. With a attitude like yours there's no fecking wonder they don't want to mix with you!! Nobody's asking you to go begging for permission are they?!? You stated that most keepers on those estates, ie grouse estates, dispise lurcher boys, I was mearly pointing out that the vast majority of them are infact lurcher & terrier boys themselves so how u come that opinion I don't know.. The thing is theirs a bloody good reason alot of keepers dont like lurcher lads as most have had experiences with poachers messing up the ground, turning up mob handed and not leaving when asked it gets on a

  14. I was having a conversation with someone the other day about hunting , This person was dead set against it although he didnt really know what went on as he had lived in the city for the most of his life when i talked to him he said he was told all these things at uni by lecturers the things they said were rubbish and he now has a different view on things. But this is all it takes just one person such as a lecturer, teacher whatever, who are supposed to know what they are talking about to spout crap and people listen and get something into their heads. Its a joke bloody hippies! I think

  20. I suppose everyone is going to have different views on what a good un is, if it does the job for you then its right. I would like to have another dog like my white dog , I can dig him every weekend in general, He marks spot on and doesnt take too much punishment and wont let his quarry pass him, Also had many digs in places other dogs have failed ( Black dogs) After hearing the usual judgement uh its a russell He is my perfect style of dog hes coming up 6 now hopefully another one like it will come along from the 2 black dogs in my kennels, only time will tell!
