  8. got my Jack russel terrier in Germany (based there in the Army), I got him from a farm and he's proved he's got the working instinct (good ratter!). But because I got him from Germany his tale hasnt been docked! Think it is German law. How much of a problem is this goin to be when I move back to UK and get him working with dogs that go to ground? Cheers, James.
  9. I wish I could just go home, go for mouch with the dog, come home and sit down for dinner with my beautiful wife and my baby girl, not much for a man to ask? 10 weeks and afgan is part of my past! Thank f@#k !

  14. Hi, Im a serving British solder who is currently serving in Afgan, During my post tour leave I will be willing to help out on any beats, verman control, kennel cleaning, dog walking or even good old labour. I know your probally thinking were is the catch, well theres not. Im 26 yrs old, Ive served just under 9 years in the infantry, Im a badged sniper and a section commander, married and have just become a father. I have always had a passion for the outdoors, air rifle hunting and working my terrier and I need a change in career (fed up being on a 2 way range). If this is going to be possi

Do jobs like that only get given to friends of the family.....?

  17. I'm an infanteer, pays ok, good security for my family and have seen most of the world but really need a change. Get paid to be outdoors, be fit and shoot, but its not as fun as it used to be now its a two way range! As soon as I'm back from afgan I'm on the mouch for a new carrier but needs to be outdoors and allow me to stil go shooting and work my dog, if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated, as long as I had enough money to put a roof over my familys head and food on the table I would be the hardest grafter you ever employed!
  18. I'm in the process of moving home at the moment, removals came yesterday, got a wedding to go to on Saturday, ferry to Germany on Tuesday and removals don't arrive til the 6st so no work on the stock for a couple of weeks or the wife will have my guts for garters! !! Lol
  19. FECK ME why say that ,up to the bloke what he tries but you treat him like a tit, with that stock it would look better with a pcp action maybe an old titan/falcon with a bit of cosmetic tarting... If you read the thread properly, it sounds as though the guy wants to build his own action from parts! Thats why Garfield advised him to keep away from PCP's, were not talking 10-15psi of air pressure here, Most PCP's have a fill pressure of around 150-200bar (2000+ psi) and that can be dangerous The guy then goes on to talk about taking the action from a smk rifle, that would be easy enough
  20. Go on you tube and type in, preparing rabbit. It will show you a few different ways, that way you can see which way is best for you. I only remove the left over membrane round its stomach if I'm boiling/roasting it. As for frying it I only use the two strips from its back and its hind legs which istnt too fidly to do, make sur your using a sharp knife James.
  21. hi buddy try here! http://www.gunspares.co.uk/shoperror.asp how heavy? is the stock! looks good, but looks heavy but all the same well done hope the link helps regards davy cheers Davy that site is sound. The stock isnt as heavy as it looks, been asked that alot, think I should weigh it and see! lol. Thanks once again, James.
  22. Alot of people viewing but nobody commenting????? Is this a sign that I shouldnt be doing this or is everyone just as lost as me on how to go about making your own working parts???????????????????///
  23. only problem is I dont have a router!!! But thanks anyway . I'm in the process of knowing a man who knows a man who has lol,
  24. good idea, lol. I'm goin to get a friend to help with that part really dont want to it up!
