Roe are our fastest british land mammal FACT even faster than the hare so that pisses on alot of lads bonfires Now IMO the big deer can shift in top gear but are sluggish off the mark and as for cwd being easy well thats a matter of opinion
The shoot i go to used 300 ton of pellets last season and about the same amount of wheat. But that is to feed 60000 birds and probably the same amount of rats
Nowt to it really your getting payed for having a walk out in the countryside "not bad work if you can get it" And you meet some good people and get the odd bit of permission thrown in aswell
None of my dogs are straight saluki greyhound they have a touch of whippet in there and if i'm right the one i'm running just now has 1/64 bull blood but they are mostly saluki and greyhound. The mother to him as taken many foxes single handed and other things that bite back same as his father did as did his aunty's and uncles. The litter he was out of had 9 in it and 6 of them that i know of are taking foxes.
Alot of salukiX won't take fox but then again alot of bull bred dogs won't either it's more down to the individual dog IMO rather than how it is bred. But if you get a saluki based lurcher that does take them then you will catch more with it than most other crosses
Your asking alot but there are dogs out there that tick all the boxes You say he wants to see the dog run, to tell the trueth if i was lineing a bitch with my dog i would want to see her run if i didn't already know of the bitch.
Took young Nikey out on a bit of permission we have in Lincoln Well i think he enjoyed himself we had a few runs and he saw a few things he hadn't seen before But IMO young lads these days just don't have the stamina for a long night out down the road either that or the excitement was just to much for him.
Sorry but my season only lasts 6 months (i like to let things breed in peace) so for one of mine that would be a dig every day and a half and you couldn't count bolters . I have a kennel of dogs to think of not just one so that would be some going for the one dog IMO. But to tell the truth finding the game for a dog ain't the problem it's finding a dog that wants the work that often and to a high standard.
I know lads who can dig as many as they can find the dogs to work but in anyones book 100 digs with one dog in a season is something special and is IMO a feat that wont be done by many to often.
p***y would the 5 digs in the day be to the same dog??? Just from your posts over the years i come to the conclusion that you like a hard dog. One other question is it 300 digs your counting or head of game accounted for??
It was me who pointed out your avatar and I'm far from anti Just thought it was a bit silly drawing attention in the current climate. I will never agree with the way you enter your saplings but if it's working for you keep at it.
