    Certain beasts can be a challenge thats for sure " Very large buck" but on the hole if the dog new his/her job ( pre ban) things should be over pretty quickly with very little fuss. The thing with the larger deer species is it's not over just cos the dog has made contact this is when good schooling and a natural talent for the job come into things.

    A good nose is a must thats for sure but i don't think thats what matters IMO all dogs are born with the same scenting abilities. Its just some dogs have the brain to use it better than others and the real special ones have that little something extra that we can't explain.

    He is on there but not got any for sale on there IMO it's the same as the dog world the best birds can't be bought but they may be given as a gift between friends.

    brand new never had any bloody luck with these lamps i got a 12 v 17 amp batter 'yuasa' i think it is lasts approx 6 hours on striker and 2 hours on blitz on and off lamping Something wrong there mate the striker and the blitz have the same bulb in them so should last the same length of time If the battery was new did you charge it fully before using it?? If not you might of fecked it as alot of batterys have memory and only charge to were they were charged too the first time.

    I've a little bitch that accounted for 46 pheasant killers last season. Good borders are out there but they are very very hard to come by.

    Hi butler Can you tell me why you are so biast against Border Terriers I't one of the only pedigree breads were the working ability is still bred into them. I have a border terrier because I liKe the breed it's a good companian good natured abediant, trained to the whistle and I love seing him hunt we are not all able to dig foxes and even want to, I bought my dog for a companian after a very longe illnes and he as give me some thing to keep me going .So do'nt have a go at others doing there own thing, aspecialy when your talking a load of BOLLOCKS. Trust me i'm not against borders b

    People keeping borders just for rats and rabbits plus the fact that if they don't make the grade they can always have a litter is the reason borders today are in the mess they are. If you want a ratting/bushing dog buy a plummer and if you want to win rosettes get something pedigree and show at crufts not working dog shows.

    Have seen a very skilled fella "snatch" salmon and sea trout this man could tell you the weight of a fish just by the disturbance it made coming up stream. The skill he had was unreal he could cast and put it exactly were he wanted it time and time again, every fish i saw him bank was hooked in the head or very close to it......... I have also dabbled with an otter board they can be very productive on the right water just don't get caught with one

    Is he an asian bird ? If so he is probably just starting his moult. But just to be on the safe side if you are worried just give him a dusting for mites it can't hurt.

    I've used these boots for a few years they are spot on i usually go through two pairs a season but for the price of them who cares.

    Thanks for all the kind words it was a top day, Col wish you could of made it mate but i know your lass is poorly still. Stevo ended up in Top & Tails mate looked a bit of a plonker but it's what our lass wanted and after 13 years i thought she deserved it
