  1. Good luck with your prospect! Mudcat
  2. I use one over here in the states and the only problem I have is, it always puts me to the side of the dog. I have learned over the years to adjust for this when digging so now it is not much of a problem. It does not seem to do it as bad on the shallow digs. Good luck mate! Mudcat
  3. Some of them are as big as some of the possums we dig! Mudcat
  4. My goodness, your rats are big over there! Mudcat
  5. I head that the company that manufactures Barryvox is going to come out with a kit soon. Anyone know the details? Mudcat
  6. Wirey, If you ever decide to travel abroad, you are welcome to come and dig with us. We have a big 2 day hunt in May of each year. There is a cabin you can stay in free of charge. You would get to see everything first hand. You will see some good work and probably some bad as well. Mudcat
  7. I hunt woodchuck so I need a real small dog for the dens in our area. I also dig possum, coon, armadillo in the winter months. I have hunted with a few Jags, but most have been too big for any serious earthwork in my neck of the world. I remember a female Jag that I hunted with that had extreme drive to get to the quarry. Fellow diggers down south of me use them on nutria and the smaller ones have worked out well. The bigger ones have been used on wild hog with good results. Mudcat
  8. I am located in the south, so I have never worked the mountain area. I believe they are used to bolt to gun in the mountain area. Mudcat
  9. Mine are bred down from this line http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/215828-new-den-terrier-pups/ I hope to have some pics up by the weekend. I am going out Saturday, so I may have some action shots. The line is bred small but the guru said that a small Jack mixed in would clean the line a bit. I guess they got their name for being worked in the rock dens in mountains along the east coast. I know mine has a small 12lb Jag in the background. Mudcat
  10. The ones I use are mixed with Jacks, Pats, Jags. Some are over 10lbs and the guys on the east coast use them on grey and red fox in the mountain area. Mudcat
  11. Topper, What's the size of the new Barryvox collar. Mudcat
  12. Small usually under 10lbs. Used mainly on woodchuck, possum and coon. Most are bayers but some can be too hard for their size. I will put up a pic later this week of one. Mudcat
  13. There is a line of den terriers out your way that might fit the bill for you. Mudcat
  14. Hey Dmyers, I am located in Mississippi and use small Russells as well as Patterdales. PM me if you want some contact info. Mudcat
  15. Hello, We use Russell's on groundhog, possum, coon, armadillo. Do u have a locator? Some of our digs have pushed the 8' mark. Having the right equipment can save a heartache later. Sota
  16. Hey pitdawg, U guys have woodchuck or just the smaller rock chucks? Mudcat
  17. Hey David, U need to come up for our fall chuck dig. We have a cabin u can stay at free of charge! Motel 8 can't beat that! Mudcat
  18. I know of Uru. I might be wrong but I believe he barn hunts and has bigger terriers than what would work for southern woodchuck. Mark
  19. Hello, Just wondering how many USA based terriermen frequent the THL. I have dug with some from this board and had a good time in the field. Anyone know any good working lines this side of the pond? Mudcat
  20. Like to see that number on the box! Mark
