    Few of my mates use it. I’m going to switch over to it in the next couple of weeks. Was looking for somewhere in North Wales that sells it for a decent price. If not I’ll order on line.

    Another great comp with plenty of craic. Thanks to everyone who helped make it happen. We are looking forward to the next one. Hopefully a few new faces will be there too. ?

    As long as they are looked after and exercised then I suppose it’s up to folk how many dogs they have. Just don’t go spouting all over social media that you ‘graft’ them every night of the week if you ain’t. 2 runners and a busher do me ok. Busher rarely has a day off injured. My old dogs lamping days are done but he’s still handy daytime bushing and on the hills. Got a 3 year old that’s doing well so that’s enough for me. With work, kids and other hobbies it’s hard to find the time. ?

    My mate fished from the bridging camp but always releases them. He’s had some decent bass from there.

    Yeah. I never go an further in than the bridge though. Have kayaked in there a few times. Seen some lads fishing about half way down a couple of times

    If you get a bit of time then try the outlet between Weymouth and Portland. Under the road bridge. Find it better as the tide is ebbing. Few bass in there. The places recommended above are nice places to fish. They will be fairly busy though.

    As said, nice looking type that. Before you head out with anyone I’d concentrate more on the training. Get recall spot on and do some retrieve training. Get the dog in with stock. Good luck with it. Keep us updated

    Few lads from the Southwest on this thread. Get yourselves to THL fishing comp weekend 20th August. Exeter. It’s a cracking weekend for the kids too?

    I’ve been using live prawn lately Joe. Been pretty decent. Gives you a bit more time to concentrate on the rattler ?

    Was going to fish from the kayaks off Berry head the next couple of weeks. Might give somewhere else a try instead.

    I warm them up by giving them a rub. Same with cooling down. My vet has a background in greyhound racing so give me a few tips on warming the toes and a few stretches for the legs. I always walk them in to where I lamp. Bit of a leg stretch and find our bearings. Try get a couple of easier runs first. I’ve used greyhound run in the past after a heavy nights lamping or heavy day on the hill. Seems to keep the ticks and fleas away too.

    Had an hour or so off Hopes Nose in the kayak the other day. Used to be a great spot but so over fished now. Didn’t get a single one there. Headed round to towards Torquay and had a couple. Seemed to be having more luck with small pollack. I don’t think you can beat fresh mackerel on the BBQ. Like to chuck the dogs a few too.
