Just curious, but i dont see any collars on either of your terriers and your leting them to ground in an old set.How do you know its not occupied, nice pup by the way.
we dig second sunday in sept til we hit cubs or hear of cubs
We do the diging, you stand and watch, sorry you carry the gear for us haha.Roll on september.
My diging partner had a bedxpatt up until a few year ago.The dog died off old age.He was a very good fox dog, brilliant dog to find and would hund cover like a hound, screaming on foxs, but their the same as any other cross, you have to get it right.
Totally agree with dee.mac, any man that's diging still just for the fun of it is not a terrier man, cause if he was he would not be destroying next seasons sport.Anyone that has to do it to protect birds or whatever then fair play but as dee.mac said i bet they dont enjoy doin it.
We also got one across about 16year ago.All i can remember about the dog was we were told it was related to s statleys dog rambo oh and i remember something else he was useless.I seen it draw 1 fox, that was it.
Liam some off them rabbits can be hard as f**k,thats why i wont touch them dont want the dogs laid up for weeks. The brown ones and black ones are not too bad but them f*****g grey ones are letal.
Had a lab bitch would go off her food a day or so before whelping, but 2 weeks seems a lot.Try a different vet different opinion, also are you sure your dates are correct.
Started a dog myself this season goin very well, has'nt found his voice yet but it may come to him eventually,as long as he stays till dug i dont mind what way he works.Cant make them sound.
Yes pa,between all the new fast stretches of roads and the lads with the lamp and rifle a litter of cubs has a hard time surviving.Very easy call in a cub on the lamp within shooting distance for and decent rifle.Well i suppose that's there sport, would'nt be mine.
Seen fox cubs outside an earth this morn for the first time this year. The vixon was very alert and had them inside in a flash.4 in total and looked good an healthy, hope they live till september to provide a bit of sport for the terriers, they should do unless the lads with the rifle's get them.
Yes you could say that because were i live you could be out all day looking for game home! but as long as were truthfull to our selfs thats all that matters, O yeh! the old work thing comes into it aswell....Mush
Good for you that has work to go to.Plenty of game in the ground around us so no prob geting a few digs each day we are out,our biggest prob at times is having dogs fit to dig to,they all need time off at some stage to recharge and heal.
So what you do MUSH one dig and off home. Its not very hard clock up 60 digs,we often had 3or4 digs in a day.We start in september and dig through to mid febuary,so plenty of time to do it,and it was actually more than 58.
