totally agree with that quote these patterdales have come from somewhere and I'm sure the northern terriers had a big impact in producing them the big so called bedlingtons you see around today are throw backs to gypsy type lurchers mute good for poaching they must have put whippet blood in the mix for speed bedlington terriers should be around 15 tts but you see some a lot bigger and real heavy types atb

whatever who knows who the bedlington as a working terrier is as hard to find as rocking horse shit but there's plenty of good hybrids bred the [BANNED TEXT] size for a terriers job and that's earth work and the lads the lads that keep them got there own little circle to keep them alive people call them what they like but most are not bedlingtons there cross breds atb

bedlingtons are fine mate but you've got to keep them in mind to do a terriers job ie work below ground if they can't do that you may as well get a cocker or spanial to do your bushing work the hybrid as a lot more of a success story in the field that the kc animal sad but that's the hard facts atb

most are bedlington hybrids that people keep for any type of work these days mate the kc bedlingtons are very rare indeed it is a shame about the size but many many years ago we don't know what people have put in them If you got big bedlington hybrids I guess something was put in generations earlier ie whippet blood for one there are some very good bedlington hybrid working below ground but you got to do your homework on the line there bred from there's some good ones bred out of crap so be aware atb

I/4 of each mate if I want size I would want to go back to 1/4 bull 3/4 greyhound or same with 1/4 bedlington 3/4 greyhound then you should have better dogs on big open fields and plenty of distance between dog and quarry atbthanks coco , would you not go back to the greyhound for size or do you think you need a bit more beddy or bull in them mateyou could go back to the greyhound if you want but that's not what I do with them I hunt the welsh mountains so 23/24 big enuff but if you want to bring a greyhound bitch to the dogs you can I don't charge and I'm sure they will be good uns atb thank

thanks mate the blue dog is still here and the fawn dogs son and daughter here at the moment the blue dog is 13 in February and still running well atb
