There’s plenty off good hybrids around if he went to toppers kennel I’m sure if he saw them on the flesh and work he would use them as for us in s wales we keep on going around because there’s still lads that work them in the correct way we don’t need any other blood and there hasn’t been a need for inbreeding yet no buy the looks of it never happening

No mate lost the last one bout 2 years ago got some pointer x lurchers here at the moment doin ok

Hi mate the bitch I have here is more a half cross but most of them dogs of Swanseajacks back in the day were more like 3/4 breeds some only an 1/8th in them but they were all bred from a good root stock to start yes we and failures but who doesn’t but they were good types some saw hunt service down west wales the bitch I have here very closely bred too them atb

Yes started years back still got the same line here and there still doing a good job bedlington/fells there are but all bred down from them original animals and the beginning of the tread atb

He’s on par with the old dogs I had here couple of years ago but that line burned out I bred to tight in the end this dog then came down from Scotland and I’ve moved on with them the half cross mind is a pleasure to own and work reminds me much of my old lines like I said quarter bred are good but not a scratch on him breeding yes this year soon hopefully have 5 and all gone as I like atb

Yes mate but just workman like must not race types at all but fast enough to catch what they hunt he’s similar to coverdogs mutt but allot heavier the other 2 similar to Beddys crosses the old dogs I had in the past are probably better than the quarter breds

Yes agree with that comment plus it’s the time you can put into your dogs if you can get out more than once a week I’m sure they get better atb

I’ve got a cloddy heavy 8 year old with a damaged cruciate ligament still catching on rough terrain on the mountain a good well bred Gwp should be fast enough to catch atb

Half cross a quarter bred just like any other crossed lurcher

On this subject I have half cross plus two quarter bred crosses for hunting there’s a massive difference but that’s what you’d expect atb

Well you should know the financial situation in welsh rugby we massively over achieved sadly England same story back to the drawing bored atb

It’s the money and player resorces and a diverse country we all knock England for not the people you should be wining world cups in rugby and football on a regular basis us celts are small poor country’s atb

Looking good Owen the litter brother I have here probably the same not a great hunter at the moment but it will be this winter that I judge him on he’s been around a couple of kills now but the penny as dropped yet so fingers crossed for this winter alb

As I’ve said like us all we’ve all been around the block many of times and seen loads of different types of lurchers doing there day/night time jobs we’ve all made mistakes in buying or having a mutt off a friend so my advice go out with the people your buying or having a pup off and then decide or take your chance on that mutt otherwise it’s like buying a lottery ticket you win some loose loads atb

Lol yes there’s some good lads who still got the same line that I had so there wouldn’t be a problem I have a good dog pointer x and bitch here at the moment tho so I’ll crack on with them but as wales 1234 said the collie influence as come through on these dogs and I don’t think I’ve got the patience neither as the dog lol time will tell atb

Got no idea how to do that sorry but I’ve a brother to wales 1234 bitch and same collie sly and jumpy at 2yrs old the slowerst lurchers I’ve had to mature but I’ve always had Beddys bull greys atb
