  2. Im after a cheap semi, something I aint going to cry if it gets dirty/scratched, have of course been looking at a synthetic hatson escort, but now a YILDIZ has come into the question too, if Im honest I have no idea on the internal workings of these guns, so in your eyes, is one better, or are they roughly the same

  5. so use the baliff comment to get your foot in the door, comment on how you doing your job, on areas that adjoin their land, you could be an extra set of eyes to keep a look out for non permission holders I always through in the "pest control officer" bit and offer free of charge services, wether its mice/rats/wasps/fleas etc, just gives you that edge over others just asking for permission and nothing in return
  6. mate, permission can be hard to come by, you a new member, joineded just days ago, but expecting people to hand you permission on a plate Id suggest, fill in you profile with as much info as possible contribute to the site with your own topics or add to posts over time you'll make friends, and you may then get an invite out on someones permission in the meantime, get out there, look for fields that have a noticable pest problem, then like us, get knocking on doors make sure you have some form of public liability insurance

  13. are the droppings old or new kep putting the ferts down different holes, eventually they'll get the hang of it and stay down and search
  14. a permission letter is more for showing to people that want to see you have a right to be there, its not a gurantee that the landowner wont give permission to others
  15. permission, rather than promotion, or was it a job offer
  16. better a chinese burn tony, than a wedgie nice pictures as always
  17. if you think were all pee ourselves at your snares, then you yourself are admitting they are not upto the job, on ANY FORM of hunting, respect for the quarry should be at the top of your list, so I'd advise you to remove all your snares, until such a time that you can learn a bit about snaring placing snares "where you think animals may be" does fieldcraft not come into it, if a rabbit is using a run/hole in fence it will leave signs,
  18. all depens where you position it really dont it, by the way, Ill move this to the trapping section, as it has nothing to do with ferrets

  23. the price must fluctuate across the contry, as Ive heard prices from £1.50, £2.00, and £2.99, still cheaper than the £15 ones, if you can make the footplate/spike
  24. although alot of people dont like the old ex army netting, its cheap, so a 4.5mtr x 4.5mtr lump only cost me £27 cut it half and re joined, it gives me 9mtrs x 2mtrs I had just read the book "the pigeon shooter" by John Batley and liked the look of his hide design, so thats it
  25. theres a post on pidgeon watch at the moment that has gone into 4 pages, about making your own hide/poles, well as money is a bit tight at the moment, plus the naural tight arse in me, I thought Id have a go, and see what I could save well the computer went tits up last weekend, so with a bit of free time on my hands, thought Id give it a go first, 5 heavy duty angle iron shelf brackets, sourced from work, the poles from wilkinsons at £2.99 each are good and strong, adjustable height, twist lock etc, anyway after a bit of thinking I didnt really want to bolt the poles directly to the brac
