  1. this is not an auction site, therefore Im locking the post, people can pm you a suggested price oh and even though you havent stated your selling, Ill move it to the for sale section, otherwise everyone will be doing it
  2. how old are both sets of batteries, have you checked their charge
  3. well went to visit this customer today, and got my 2nd mole, have reset the traps and will let the job run a little longer, this customer is 100% nice guy, but he had the lady (farmers wife) who owns the rights to the lane to his house, complain about the mole traps on her property, bloody bitch had removed all my markers, so took me a while to locate them, seems she's not into killing moles, yet they have regular deer, pheasant, driven shoots on their farm this one looks a better catch, around the rib cage
  4. Ive got a spare larsen trap I'll sell ya for a tenner here if you want it mate,or if you really want to make your own, pm johnb, he sells all the bits
  5. makes me laugh, so many "hunters" on this site that cry out that anti's are against us, and are constantly watching our every move on this OPEN forum, and yet still leave totally illegal remarks on how to dispatch mr fox, for all to see/read/copy
  6. it dont happen, although always make sure its dirt under cage rather than concrete, just in case, but using subsonics with a fully hushpowered 410, holding the barrel around 1" from top of head, the shot does not have chance to spread, goes in, leaving a hole around the size of a 10p but does not exit the other side, bulges out the underside of jaw, golf ball looking,
  7. see, I cant accept that use of a air rifle can be classed as humaine, even if the police advise it, surely, humaine means instant so one in the head, followed by a couple to the heart, is not instant, as the second shots mean there is no confidence in the first shot doing the job that said, its the reason I applied for a SGC and then purchased a silenced 410, because one shot to the head, job done, humainly killed in my eyes, what do others think?
  8. Id say, dont breed them both, if its to carry on a bloodline, or to replace your own ferts fine, but your already counting the ££££'s asking when you can sell them
  9. Id go for shells rather than full bodied, otherwise it'll start getting bulky once you add other stuff to your pattern, magnet, bouncers etc
  10. and then how would you dispatch that fox once caught in the trap However you think is humane, but don't leave any blood in/on the trap. Hanging about waiting for charlie is time wasting when you know exactly where he'll be but not when he'll be there. thats what Im getting at, what other way is there of humainly dispatching a live caught fox in my eyes, you have two options, shooting, or finding a vet that would put it to sleep therefore advising someone to use a live catch trap, when they have already stated they dont hold a means of dispatching fox, is a bit silly
  11. ok, I must be wrong, it can happen, lol
  12. depends if your a landowner, or pricing to do the job for someone, but Id say a drop trap, initial outlay may be high, but once installed, its there, dosent need servicing, inspected once daily to collect rabbits, can be locked closed and re opened at a later date, self setting, and can get good catch rates
  13. they look the mutts nutts Ian, go on then, send them to me and I'll test them in the field
  14. if you are not a donator, you cant upload direct, and have to use photobucket or simular
  15. as with everything out there, its something to try and add movement to your pattern, although I started with this and a few shell deeks, Ive now got a magnet as well, which really pulls them in, my mate went out yesterday with just deeks and 2 floaters, and said that nothing would come near, also at the time, the motion decoy was a cheaper option than a magnet, going on the british price, Id save your money and pick up a second hand magnet for same price
  16. and then how would you dispatch that fox once caught in the trap
  17. its my birthday next week, and Im not normally to bothered on presents, you know what its like, normally boring stuff like socks, but popped into my mums tonight and she told me to open my present early, theres me thinking its either socks or the normal ferret ornament, but no, it was this, to say I was over the moon was an understatment, a pocket watch and holder, hunting motif
  18. thanks for that, and the large print, much needed
  19. make sure your hide is upto scratch, and you have as little movement of yourself as possible, pidgeons can catch sight of movement a mile away, defo use a face veil and gloves, if you aint got a veil, try using the arm cut from a camo t shirt, does the trick picture of mate with t shirt veil...
  20. I always tell them on the first visit, they can either pay in full, or split the payment to make it easier, I then arrange a follow up visit, but tell them they need to phone me an hour before the due time to confirm they are in. this may be more of a problem to those working for themselves, rather than us doing "privates"
  21. had thought of that too, see, great minds think alike
  22. I absolutly love it mate, it was only last week that I figured out how to give it a total strip down, so until then it had been running dirty and still working, as a rough gun, it does exactly what it says on the tin, today it had rain on it, mud and straw, and blood, did I worry had it been a more expensive gun, maybe I would have yes I can see chimps point now about the dreaded button, there were times when chris was telling me birds were coming in, but I was in the middle of re loading , but as stated, with two of us there, it was'ent the end of the world, the newer hatsan have elimanate
  23. a good mate chris88 had kindly invited me to one of his new permissions for a morning on the woodies, we'd been out a couple of times before, but in the colder spells and it was way too cold, blue finger type of days, anyhow chris had taken a day off work, and as Im a night worker, the plan was to finish as early as possible (3am) go home, change and grab my gear and go straight to chris's house, thus missing the early rush hour traffic, and grab a couple of hours zzzzz's on his couch, well at 2am it started pee'ing it down, and it carried on until just after 7am, by this time we were sitting
  24. pm woodga and ask to buy his CD, it shows how to make all the different tealers, and a jig to make them with
