  1. like so many newbies before you, not even bothering to introduce yourself on the forum, both posts (first on a 1yr old topic) and now, asking for permission on a plate you have much to learn young luke.... do you really belive your post will get people queuing up to hand you permissions, over other members that have at least contributed to the forum in some way, given info/pictures etc,
  2. sadly I look nothing like rambo, and have not done the rimfire magic route either but I do know that as a work tool, it gets taken out as much as, if not more than my bolt action right tool for the right job you'll notice a bad workman always blames his tools
  3. lol, is not a forum name, that bit changes the more posts you make
  4. LAKESIDE you know near the car park, diving school, lots of paddle boats, its filled with them I got permission from the owner and applied for tags, which I still have, but never trapped there as it was too much hassle, he wanted method statements etc to cover him on his insurance, and wanted all trapping to be done from a boat because some areas are a vertical drop it would be far easier to do a covert night visit with a single trap or two, not that I would ever advise that though
  5. Id say hungry or bored you say you have had to let them out at night, surely that answers your question, your feeding them a meat diet? which gives them lots of energy for running around warrens after rabbits, BUT if they are only going out 1 day in 7 theres your problem, they need to burn off all that energy get some plastic bendy tubing, loads of it if you have a small garden and the wife wont let you make something permanent, at least you could set it up each night and remove in morning, if thats too much hassle, get rid of the ferts, its the joys of keeping a living animal, unlike a g
  6. just a word of warning, if you have the standard basc or sacs insurance, and are getting paid per tail, the insurance is void, you'll need proper public liability
  7. It did take a while for them to post out the application and get it approved but as long as you show you have a good knowledge of how to trap them, and be able to tell the difference between the different types it is pretty much yours. maybe it differs in your neck of the woods then, as filling out the form, you do not need to show knowledge of trapping, and as for identifying different types, if theres british crayfish in the water, you wont get a ticket, simple as that, the tags though are numbered for a stretch or river/stream/pond designated by yourself at time of application, th
  8. not if you have applied for tags from the environment agency for an area of river/pond etc it aint, as you need to put on application what your doing with them "eating them yourself" then gives you the ok on transporting, just came back from trapping today funnily enough
  9. another few updated videos, we camped over there last weekend, our first overnight stay, weather was a scorcher, but quite cold come 3am onwards, my sleeping bag newly bought was way too small for me, so ended up waking around 5am and getting the fire going and sat by that to warm up, made an A frame from some ash that I cut down, to fix both the hammocks onto camp set up

  20. well, lots have been happening since my last post here, we completed around the beginning of feb, it was a little daunting at first, as the amount of work needed to clear pathways of brambles was vast, but with help from a good mate we are getting there, we have a pathway cut to a large area that we coppiced of Hazel, thats to be used as a base camp for now until we can open up other areas, we fitted a WC, no1's are easy, but didn't want loads of no2's dotted about, lol and believe it or not, I still ain't took a gun over there, it's just so relaxing watching the wildlife, without the need to
