as luck would have it, one of my permissions has phoned me about an hour ago, with a rat problem around his chicken coop, Im heading there tomorrow with the rat attack and "smart" the jrt, so I'll take the video camera, get some clips of it, and put it up here for you to see WATCH THIS SPACE..... no the fumes are non toxic, so the rats just bolt, but our jrt normally makes quick work of them no reason why it cant be used in the garden

its horses for courses really, if you out in the open, away from people/buildings, then yes go for any old 2 stroke engine and some pipe, but if your ratting around buildings, maybe where noise would be an issue, then the rat attack comes into its own, quite as anything, and dont give you a stonking headache from any fumes (unlike petrol engine) have used mine on windy days, never had it go out, yes some of the smoke can/will get blown away, but using an extension pipe, it fills the holes nicely

christ jasper, Im just in from my night shift, and instead of getting in bed with the missus, Im sat here thinking back to my first car a mk3 1300 cortina, bought for £, it sailed through an mot,it was blue, but the shine had gone from the paintwork, so if you leant against it, you'd have a blue hand both the front doors had dropped on it, so they were welded shut, and in the daytime Id climb in and out the drivers window, like "the dukes of hazzard" couldent afford an alarm, but had a set of dixie horns under the bonnet, so the drivers rear door would be left unlocked, but I had a bit of

sounds to me like you'd be better off reading some books this year, and forget breeding till next year

Ive had two capri's, my first was a rare 1300cc great car, until some un-insured mini-cab driver of ethnic origin wrote it off, by driver straight into my side and a 2ltr special edition, previously owned by my dad (ford worker at the time) as you say, great cars, and loads of engine space, leg room galore for lanky drivers like me saying that, Ive had around 3 mini's too sorry jasper, just clicked your link, that aint no f**king capri

good on you for trying, but as stated, holes in top will let rain in, plus they look a bit long, could do with being shorter think what it will be like, walking through woods/fields, bags of nets, shovel, packed lunch?, caught rabbits, longnets? plus one or two of those boxes

the combinations will all differ, as what works for one person, may not for another, only the ferret keeper will know his/her ferts I have four castrated hobs (hobletts) living in a court with three intact jills, and yes, strange as it seems, but the hobletts gets the jills out of season I also have three intact hobs that live together all year round, they are around 3 yrs old, one is intact, the other two are snipped I have two intact jills that live together (extremly small ferts) and they get serviced by the snipped hob and lastly, "TED" my best working hob, lives on his ow

I personally would never take a jill out ferreting, that was in season, having an enlarged vulva, that close to the ground, in contact with who knows what down those warrens, is only asking for trouble. if you put any value on your ferts, leave her at home until out of season, just use the hob for now

Ok....Thank you very much but different in what way please ? at the moment, if you get given permission and do it for free, you'll be able to visit with times to suit you, either daily, weekly etc and a golf course manager/groundsman would be thankful to you but once you mention money, it all changes, they would want/need to put it through there books, therefore a reciept would be needed, with your details, mr tax man will eventually notice that xxx amount is being paid to you on a regular basis, and he'll want some of it, plus you'll then need to do risk assessments, method stateme

find a shallow warren, maybe a 4 or 5 holer, then actually put her down a hole, rather than placing at the side, if she backs out, pick her up, move to another hole and put her in again, if she's never been used for ferreting before, then it may take a little time and patience before she gets the idea, she may become good, but she may also not,

Is there a need for something?stubby replied to blacta's topic in Driven, Walked Up, Rough Shooting how about designing a trolley for using when pigeon shooting, some people like myself have converted old golf trolleys to lug all the gear across fields, but as far as I know, there's no "on the market trolley" designed for us shooters

already have SGC, but as mention in first post, this visit was for firearms

sorry mushy, as you said, Im not gonna post it, to be honest, Im not gonna try in future, way to many dick heads on this forum, and us mods get more than enough flak for it, I'll just sit here quitely, with my finger on the button

ferret kitts rarely show true potential until the following season, I tend to take them out a couple at a time with an older fert and just let them get on with it, never expect great results first few times out, but over a period of time, you'll see certain character's within the ferts that you like, and then those kitts will get taken out more often,
-
the old ones always bring a larf though, and no matter how many times you'vre heard them, I still read it to the end
-
dont worry, he's gone, and so will his other three alias's

as yet I havent used the owl/magpie deek, I've got a customer that I now regularly shoot crows for, they tend to roost in the woods behind his house and crap all over his property, causing a health hazzard, theres really good cover to set the hide in, and Im simply putting half a dozen crow deeks down, the crows are then simply flying down into the deeks, with their backs to me, like sitting ducks I will give it a proper test run one day

Ive done it with a magpie deek, so dont see why not, I wanted the wings spread out on a deek in the clutches of an owl deek, just stretched a set of maggies wings out on a board, and held in place with panel pins, keep in a warm shed and they dry out within a couple of weeks, last forever, dont let flies get on them though, as they will lay eggs where you cut wing, then maggots will eat away
