  1. the only downside to electronic callers, is they play the same sound on a loop, a blown/sucked call, can be used in a many of ways to entice mr fox to come nearer, thats just my opinion though, plus a squeaker from evil bay only costs £1.35 and dont need batteries
  2. I use the squeaker from a dog toy, keep in the pouch of my cheek, and use to stop rabbits running, or on the foxes, suck one end or blow the other end gives it two different squeaks, works great and cost nowt
  3. dog fox, squeaked in from 100yds plus to around 30yds
  4. Im more of a rabbit shooter than fox, but noticed on one of our permissions that fox numbers were increasing, well my FAC allows me to shoot fox with a .22, so thought we'd better thin them down a little, I dont belive they take many rabbits, but I belive on nights when the scout the area, rabbits that are normally in abundance, become thin on the ground. anyway, not having any purpose built fox calls, I inprovised, and so glad I did, as my fox squeaker works wonders, its kept in the cheek of my mouth, so I can still have a ciggy, and tends to get a bit of spit inside it, which really make
  5. watch out for moulted out silvers, as identical to BEW's, catch rabbits the same though
  6. Id have to disagree with the comment about the hushpower mod, not making the crack of cart any less, I have a 410 fully hushpowered 3 shot bolt action, if I use sub sonics, along side my mate using his standard 410, the difference is 10 fold, the noise from mine could be mistaken for a pcp air rifle mine was bought for urban foxes that are live trap caught, dispatching in the customers garden before removing, although much prefer to use the rimmy now, before I got the FAC, it was the next best thing, although it was fired straight down, 10mm from foxes head, using standard 3" sub sonic carts,
  7. if often makes me wonder why shooters dont have the same expectations from shotguns and rimfire, see in my eyes CZ are simular to escort, both are a cheap imported rimfire/shotgun, now when we get a CZ, everyone, mates and dealers tell you to try lots of different ammo, find one that THE GUN LIKES and stick to it. all my mates use winchester subs and swear by them, mine hates them, out of 10 shots at 60yds, it would hit spot on 2 out of 10 yet put eleys in it, and 10 out of 10 shots will be spot on the money now take your escort, same sort of set up really, you need to find carts that it li
  8. grays in essex, bought 5 minutes from the dartford bridge, pm me if interested, rather that replies here, as I forget to check here
  9. do it yourself? persume you have top and bottom lines running on the longnets? measure out your distance, say 5yds (5 paces) pull top and bottom lines tight, do the same with net, mark 5yds with a felt tip, then walk back the net to the start, thus giving you 100% bagging, tie in pole with either a hitch knot, or rubber bands if I can find it, Ive a dvd that shows it more clearly, Ill look later
  10. yup, great rifle, took another 7 bunnies tonight
  11. I use a squeaker from a dog's rubber toy, and squeaked this little vixen in from 100yds to 50yds, yes its a .22 rimmy, and have the condition on my license that I can dispatch any animal if in association with pest control
  12. Ive got a "magnum" basket and 2 quickset nets with fibreglass poles, one of the nets is mounted on magnum poles, the other 10mm fibre rods, approx 25yds and 35yds net, all good condition, collection only £100 no offers

  20. Im sure thats a bit slow you know Im sure they have to go faster than that to get the wings to lift more than 10,000 rotations per minute christ that things gonna take off, Id say try and hook up a speed controller on it, get it going between 60-120 rpm a quick caculation, but at 10,000 rpm, it would be turning 166 times per second it dont need to be fast, to make wings flap, stuff called air does that http://youtu.be/Mz9flaLaI_w having a watch of my clip, its rotating around 50 per minute
  21. have to say, Ive never been a big beliver in the "scent" stuff, have handled traps without gloves and still caught, Id say "peeing rabbits" aint going to hurt your chances any plenty of carrot chippings inside if your having no luck, Ill swap a few back off ya
  22. Is it?? Can you point me at the legislation please Stubby? I think that as long as the landowner is in agreement, no law would be broken? well you have answered it yourself their Im saying without permission, and your arguing the fact, but changing the ending to, with permission
  23. Yes, you're crap any need to answer a young lad like that why not try giving some advice instead of trying to be clever mate, chill out a bit, it was simply a joke if you dont think its right, you'll not fit in here well, as theres always wind up merchants here, you'll see the op got some straight advice too
  24. try culling and then "peeing" a few rabbits over the cages, are you baiting them with carrot chippings?
