    for a few weeks now Ive been doing a spot of crayfish catching, using old bike wheels turned into drop nets, were normally bring home in excess of 200 crays, and boiling them on the cooker takes time, the last 100 took well over 3 hours, so I set out to put together an outside boiling unit like they do in the states nearly everything was purchased from e bay a 3/4 full propagne bottle and regulator £15 a cast iron gas burner £21 large king kooker (from usa) £60 gas pipe (camping store) £9 so just over hundred pounds and Ive got a great set up, the test run boiled water in around

    freeze them raw, defrosted some last weekend and did'nt find anything wrong with them, although we cooked on a bbq, this lot will get boiled so I'll find out, a few indian take-aways near to where they are caught, pay roughly £7 per kilo, reckon we had well over 10kgs today, but so far its all been for us and friends consumpton, your not the first to mention the lake (predator lake?) at arena wilf, but finding someone to ask for permission is like a needle in haystack

    had an hour on a certain stretch of river this morning, caught 84 using rabbit carcas on 3 drop nets

    you must get diffferent foxes where you live then, as all the foxes that I trap and cull, lay down in the cage like a cat or dog would awaiting release, Ive never had one acting the way you describe

    so why not phone him, talk on phone as you get much more info than texts, then phone up a dealer and try to get an approx value and recomendations on if its good or not

    I think its all to do with how each individual comes across at the interview stage I asked for 3 things, more ammo storage, a section 1 shotgun, and got turned down on both, but also asked for an open ticket on first application, and gave good evidence of my need for one (yet only had permission on one piece of land), low and behold, I got my open ticket

    anyone with an "open" firearms ticket, could shoot in the garden as you aunt suggests, lots of things need to be checked first though, and prices are normally pretty high per fox, although there is one fellow on here that makes his living from dispatching london foxes, youd mostly be looking at becoming a pest controller, to do that kind of job, money can be shite until your quailified, and your normal work is more likely to be baiting with poisons, for rats,mice, etc, wasps nests and cockroaches all of my foxing and rabbit shooting get done in my spare time, rather than as paid jobs (apart f

    not wanting to rock the boat here, and suggest YOU doing something wrong, but I started off buying a 410 hushpower, with the sole purpose of using it to dispatch urban trap caught foxes, and told this to my FAO on his visit (ok, Im a full time pestie) but that should'ent really make a difference, Id say, get yourself a fox trap, then put in for your shotgun cert, telling them you want the 410 for the above reason, have an area in your aunts garden, that a trap could be moved too, once a fox was caught thats secluded from neighbours, trap on grass/dirt so no ricochets (gun 1/2" from foxes head

    thought Id put this up here one last time before it goes on gun trader, my norica bolt action 3 shot 410 full hushpower, great gun for areas with noise issues, used mostly for live caught fox dispatch, it really is quite when used with sub sonics, have done foxes in customers back gardens and no one battered an eyelid collection only with certificate, from grays in essex, have a few assorted boxes of carts to go with it £200 no offers

    ok, thought Id post it up here for a couple of days before it goes onto evil bay, I have a "magnum" basket and two ready set longnets, both on "magnum" poles, the first is approx 30yds, the second around 21yds, these are good nets on study poles, and have caught many a rabbit collection only from essex £100 no offers

    Im sure it asks for "type" ie, bolt or self loading around Q17, could be wrong though
